3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
on tap at the brewpub in dobrany, listed as DPH 15%. orange coloured with quite a lot of haze, i suspect from near the bottom of the keg; steady well-defined off-white head; aroma of salted caramel, pineapple upside-down cake and hedge clippings; some nuttiness betrays some messiness in a quite bitter finish. it’s hard to keep track of all the ipa’s being brewed around pilsen these days...

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(plastic bottle, 100cl) Cloudy, murky amber colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Fruity and slightly resiny hoppy aroma with notes of exotic fruits and tangerines, backed by lighter cara-malty accents. Quite bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Very dry cara-malt character with chalky notes and loads of aroma hops, primary with notes of exotic fruits and a tinge of resin; bone-dry and hop bitter finish which is quite through and through fermented, thus lacks a bit of balancing malty sweetness. 04.VI.12

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lahev (1000ml, @Pivni Rozmanitost): Cloudy, light orangey coloured, medium sized yellowish fluffy head with a delicate lace, moderate to solid piney and (exotic-) fruity nose with a sweet malty backbone; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, quite dry and relatively light bodied; dry - almost bone-dry - piney hoppy finish with a very faint malty counterpart. Very good czech stuff…
