COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moeder Overste is a triple beer with 8% alcohol content. With its full, strong taste, it is possibly one of the best brews produced by Lefbvre. Flanders and the Netherlands have been able to appreciate this heavenly beer for the last 15 years. Moeder Overste has a golden hue and is perfumed with spices, wood and fruit flavours mixed with malt to produce a fine bitterness.
It can be served cold at 5C or with the chill taken off at 10C, depending on ones taste. Enjoy.

On draft at the beerfestival at Vorst-Laakdal (Chiro). A hazy golden beer with a white head. Malty aroma. Flavour of sweet malts and fruitiness. Indeed a very nice tripel.

On tap at Locus Publicus, Delft.
Pale amber coloured, medium to big airy white head, lively carbonation. Pleasant fruity alcoholic nose. Quite poor abbey tripel, sweet malty, light fruity and alcoholic with weak notes of hops and spices. Rather bitter finish.

On tap @ De Geuzen. Hazy golden amber, white head. Aroma of flowers, malts and ripe fruit. Flavour is malty sweet and fruity, a little tart. Becomes more sour as it warms up. A very nice fruity not-your-ordinary tripel.

Bottle at Het Elfde Gebod, Antwerp. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a huge creamy white head. Looks fantastic in the glass. Aroma of fresh fruit and wheat. Flavour is fruity and spicy from the yeast. A very tasty brew.

Bottle at home. Sweet flavour. Hazy golden colour. Very hoppy. Has a dry finish. Not very special, but a very decent tripel which I enjoyed a lot!

A R.B. A bit hazy, good steady bead, head’s a bit thin but it lasts well. Initially sweet, but almost immediately a delicious fresh zesty bite comes in and cleans the palate, this lingers awhile and tempts you into taking the next mouthful (dont sip it!) and before you know it the glass is empty......bugger! A crackin’ brew, really enjoyed it while it lasted.

Bottle at Poechenellekelder. Darkish amber color with a multifinger frothy white head. Aroma is fruity and malty. Full bodied with creamy carbonation, but it thins rapidly. Flavor is medium ripe stone fruit with floral hop. Finish is moderately dry. It really drinks well. Almost to die for. Very smooth. Killer ale.
