Bottle at Den Tatoverede Enke, RBESG Pub Crawl, August 2005. Hazy orange colour. Light yeasty aroma - rather faint. Some orange peel apparent in the flavour. Not much spice in evidence. Mouthfeel is not too zippy. OK but didn’t make much of an impression. A rather "safe" tripel.

Tasted a De Berenbak beer cafe in Antwerpen. Cloudy deep mandarine-orange colour with a big, creamy white head. Spicy yeast aroma with orange zest. Sweet flavours, good balancing bitterness, oranges, spicy yeastiness, ending dry. Fruity. Medium body. A refreshing, yet sufficiently complex beer.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Golden with persistant white head. Aroma of honey, candy sugar, flowery hop, yeast, oranges. Quite sweet in the mouth but finishes hoppy. Not bad.

Bottle. Thanks to harrisoni for this one. A copper coloured tripel with a large rocky white head. The aroma is peppery with a touch of wood. The taste is a bit heavy with more pepper and yeast, and a little lemon. I think i may have drank this a little warm, but it was a tad disappointing.

(bottle) Hazy orange colour with a big foamy white head. Yeasty and medium sweet malty and orange fruity aroma. Initially sweet malty and fruity (orange and a bit banana) taste, a bit short and shy malty sweetbitter and spicy finish with a light alcoholic note. Still an aromatic and even refreshing beer.

Nice gold-blond colour, large white head. Rather duff aroma, not convincing. Taste is malty, finish is short, somewath woody; but nice.

Huge, coarse, off-white head; dull, brown hazy body. Sweet, cinnamon, bready aroma, with thin estery notes to it. Lovely, sweet, rounded taste of caramel, honey and yeast, which ends in a nice bitter finish that somehow merges with the sweetness. An excellent, and very unusual, tripel.

Here we go again, with beers i have brought from belgium. Aroma is great, well balanced honey sweetened hops. The better side of blondes/triples. Taste is same smoothness with honey playing a part though some floural and bittering hops, but yet again not making it unbalaced as i expected. Alround an excellent wee beer, strong!

Couleur blonde foncée tirant vers l’orange. Bouteille, Voyage Europe 2005.
