sayravai (4673) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 22, 2005
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2013 (Bottled, 0.75l @ Pub Tuulensuu, Tampere, refined @home with a 0.33l) Deep amber-orange color with a medium, frothy and creamy, lacy head. Slightly sour, honeyish, very fruity and yeasty aroma. Very fruity, slightly tart flavor with berries, banana, anise and caramel. Alcohol is evident, but well in control. Very smooth, medium to full-bodied, refreshing but warming palate with smooth carbonation. A very nice and fruity, saison-like tripel. (Bottled, 0.33l, bottle shaken) Hazy golden with a huge, frothy and lacy head. Peachy-creamy nose with honeyish, pale maltiness, grass and juniper notes. Flavor is honey-malty, fruity, slightly stuffy. Quite full body, foamy palate. Seems better without yeast, as this was still mixed after traveling. (Bottled, 0.33l) Now settled and indeed a lot more hoppy, fresh and saisony.

Bottled 0.7 liter, past BB date by a month (so two years old or so?). Hazy yellow/orange coloured, medium head. Some alcohol, malts and perhaps vanilla in aroma. Malty and sweet flavour. Nice in the beginning, but gets a bit boring after your second glass.

Bottle Conditioned at Berenbak, Antwerpen. Hazed orange colour with foamy head. Lovely subtle malty flavour with sweet toffee and a spiy fruitiness. I loved this beer

pivo (2591) - GERMANY - SEP 26, 2004
Smells like fresh rising dough - yeasty and acidic. Cloudy orange color and a sticky head. Big chewy malt body with some fruit flavors. Vanille tones tucked away in between. Turns to a dirty gritty end with a little pepper-like spice. This is what I really like about this beer. Fully body to support all the flavor. Not a typical tripel, but strangely attractive...

Fine beer with light orange golden color and very lively and fluffy head. Good malty nose with fine hints of hops and some nobel sweetness in it. This beer has a nice round taste with also a fine sweet touch. It has a full taste with hints of butter and caramel ending with a touch of malts, some hops and a good freshness.

Nice huge foamy head, with a little bloom on top. Orange color. Korianer, cilantro, orange nose. Blackberry taste, fruity and refreshing, medium lasting with a nice malty finish.

JorisPPattyn (8033) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 8, 2004
Huge topping of creamy foam; light amber beer with golden shine. ’Speculoos’, hops and very yeasty nose, floral and very aromatic. Revolting sweet initial taste, with a bitter vegetable vengeance. Utterly unbalanced, this, but thankfully, it more or less starts blending itself in the finish. Rather well-bodied, creamy mouthfeel. The initial taste is revolting, sweet and bitter clashing. The rest is rather good - silly.

Ernest (6353) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 31, 2004
Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, earth), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

Frothy head, golden color, slightly hazy. Yeasty aroma and flavor with some citrus. Some pear fruit. A fair amount of hopbitterness. Well made, but a bit boring tripel.
