COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moeder Overste is a triple beer with 8% alcohol content. With its full, strong taste, it is possibly one of the best brews produced by Lefébvre. Flanders and the Netherlands have been able to appreciate this heavenly beer for the last 15 years. Moeder Overste has a golden hue and is perfumed with spices, wood and fruit flavours mixed with malt to produce a fine bitterness.
It can be served cold at 5°C or with the chill taken off at 10°C, depending on one’s taste. Enjoy.

Een heel lekkere tripel, met heel veel smaak zoals het hoort te zijn. Een van men favorieten

Cloudy orange, big white head. Thin aroma. Sweet malts dominate the taste, quite a big alcoholic punch. Blend. Medium body, high carbonation.

Clear golden colour. A touch of tart apple in the aroma. Flavour has a bit of sweet malt. Very neutral. Not unpleasant but uninteresting.

Recht dick mit einer ordentlichen Prise Vanille und Hopfen. Dazu heftige Perlung, viel Süße und eine gewisse Art von Süffigkeit. Nicht schlecht.

Pours out of the bottle in a hazy light golden-amber colour with steady big head and smooth body. Aroma of Belgian yeast and flowers. Taste of Belgian yeast, caramel, flowers, hops, spices and bread. Typical Tripel - boring and too yeasty.

A bit cloudy, somewhat orange colored beer with a light brown layer of foam. It has a complex sweet-sour and fruity aroma. It has a bitter-sour taste in which the bitterness has the upper hand. It has a complete bitter aftertaste which hangs on for quite a while.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2015 Bottle. Pours an amber color, nice frothy foam head. Well rounded aromas of citrus fruits, oranges, little brown sugar. Really nice. Tripel taste, little sweet from sugar, nice blend with citric fruits again, little sour. Aftertaste little sticky and dry from the sugar. From draft I rate it 0.2 higher, the sourness is more pronounced then.

Golden with white head. Aroma and taste: malts, fruity. Tipical belgian. Good and easy to drink.
