Moeder Overste is a triple beer with 8% alcohol content. With its full, strong taste, it is possibly one of the best brews produced by Lefébvre. Flanders and the Netherlands have been able to appreciate this heavenly beer for the last 15 years. Moeder Overste has a golden hue and is perfumed with spices, wood and fruit flavours mixed with malt to produce a fine bitterness.
It can be served cold at 5°C or with the chill taken off at 10°C, depending on one’s taste. Enjoy.

A bit cloudy, somewhat orange colored beer with a light brown layer of foam. It has a complex sweet-sour and fruity aroma. It has a bitter-sour taste in which the bitterness has the upper hand. It has a complete bitter aftertaste which hangs on for quite a while.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2015 Bottle. Pours an amber color, nice frothy foam head. Well rounded aromas of citrus fruits, oranges, little brown sugar. Really nice. Tripel taste, little sweet from sugar, nice blend with citric fruits again, little sour. Aftertaste little sticky and dry from the sugar. From draft I rate it 0.2 higher, the sourness is more pronounced then.

Appeared faintly hazy gold with a voluminous, active white head. The aromas are typical of the style: somewhat sour with mild malts and lemon citrus. Not the most enormously characterful beer, but I don’t wish to damn with faint praise. The flavour is excellent with a true reflection of the aromas. It ticks all the Tripel boxes.

33cl fles. Goudgele kleur. Witte schuimkraag. Eerste smaakimpressie : citrus, koolzuur, lichte smaak van banaan?

Aroma: fresh and light hops. Appearance: hazy golden, light brown. Taste is light bitter with a hint of sweet. A medium body with good carbonation. Has character but is refreshing overall.
