AllAboutStout (595), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours amber in color with not much head at all. Smell is malty and a bit spicy. Taste is very malty, much more than in the nose. A good amount of hops in the taste as well. Medium mouthfeel with a good amount of bitterness. Very good and easy drinking. Not bad.

The appearance is amber with a foamy but small head. The flavor is like the aroma and very likable. The palate is average for the style. Dark orange pour, sparkling, soft white head. Sweet aroma, hints of candied yams. Earthy flavor, some toffee accents, caramel, some hints of pumpkin and a bit of ripening vegetables. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Not overdone with sweetness, overall, decent.
