1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Aroma is bland. Hop blend seems "muddy", and it's very overpowering. Leaves a chalky/pine feel in your mouth. Have a glass of water with it. Or maybe don't have the beer at all.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle from 12-pack sampler case purchased in Ohio. Served in a Sam Adams glass.
A: Orange-amber in color with a large, frothy off-white head. Superior lacing and retention.
S: Sweet with citrus and floral notes, and a bready malt base.
T: More fruity and appealing than the aroma. Mildly bitter hop finish.
M: Good medium body and medium+ carbonation. Near creamy smooth..
O: A mild IPA. More like a pale ale in terms of hops load and bitterness, and perhaps a bit light even then, but tasty and highly drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
6/03/2010: Christian Moerlein Northern Liberties IPA... Aroma: Bright citrus peel hops; some general beer-yness; toffee malts. Appearance: Orange color with a slight chill haze; large, foamy, ivory-colored head; puffy lacing; medium level of carbonation. Flavor: High bitterness right off the bat; citrus peel and leafy hops; watery and grainy in the middle; slightly metallic finish; become more oily once is breathes. Palate: Medium-light to medium body; lots of carbonation. Overall: Refreshing; a beer doesn’t need to be completely balanced, but something additional is needed on the malt side of this beer; the bitterness level is nice and quite large; needs some additional body without adding sweetness...

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Chattanooga, Tn. - Riverside Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Dark orange pour, nice off-white head. Solid, patented spruce aroma. Nice bitter grapefruit notes with just a bit of caramel to balance it out, but tends to be a bit one dimensional. Slightly stinging mouthfeel. Overall decent.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malt, tropical fruits. Flavor of tropical fruits, floral hops, and light bready malt in the finish. Some bitterness in the finish too. A fruity IPA, reminds me of the Mikkeller hop series.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours amber with copper tint. Minimal head. Little to no hop bite, incorrect pallet for an IPA, tastes more like a lager with grass notes.
-To IPA is to be.
