Youíve made a discovery--a well-hopped IPA inspired by the revolutionaries of Cincinnatiís Northern Liberties. North of Liberty St. and beyond the reach of municipal law, the area was known for tolerance of beliefs and behaviors, which were shunned in Cincinnati proper prior to 1849. Moerlein Northern Liberties draws inspiration from these free-spirits with this hoppy, well-balanced, copper IPA in pursuit of Life, Liberty, and Hoppiness.

12 ounce bottle. Big pour, pillow head. Orange body. Citrus and some pine. Low caramel malt. Pretty solid IPA and very drinkable.

From vintage, $2 a bottle. Glugs into the glass from the bottle. Brisk IPA aroma. First taste is free, big, almost rubber spirit concoction of thicker materialistic ipa woes. Did nellie go nasty or is little zeke using the olí john deer to disc the surface of my tongue. Chuggah chuggah like a slow idling unfiltered harley. Long bitter medicinal feeling on the finish, come on summer, wew, how about an acidic sour for a chaser? Yes, terrible on style for a double ipa, pine tar and spruce all while chewing on green grapefruit rinds mouth coating handsoap experience.

12 oz. bottle from Kroger. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have a weak base of toasted caramel malts, citrus peel and earthy hops, moderate bitterness that lasts to the finish, just seems to be missing something.

12oz bottle from House Beer. Orange-gold pour with a finger of white head. Big resiny grapefruit and caramel malt aroma. Tastes of grass, bread, earthy, citrus peel. Light to medium bitter. Thinnish palate. Nice enough.

Not bad. This beer was better than I was expecting. A nice hoppy and floral aroma. Medium body with a smooth hoppy middle and end. Malty sweet backbone.

Good IPA. Not great. Good blend of hop and malt. Not too overwhelming either way. Enjoy.

Draft. Orange malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet tangerine malt and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Good - standard IPA.

Aroma is bland. Hop blend seems "muddy", and it's very overpowering. Leaves a chalky/pine feel in your mouth. Have a glass of water with it. Or maybe don't have the beer at all.

Bottle. Clear burnt orange pour with an off white head. Bland hop aromas and nondescript hop bitterness. Slight pine tang in the finish. Decent balance and body. Below average mouthfeel..

12 oz bottle. (Jungle Jimís) Fairfield, OH.
Clear amber colour with a small white head. Quite fresh hoppy aroma with pine, spruce and mild dry bitterness. Sweet fruity hops, sweet malt and mild bitterness in the flavour. Very drinkable.
