Aubrey (2614), Denver, Colorado, USA Jan 18, 2004 Cloudy amber with a frothy, tightly packed head -- in my sample glass. I liked it so much I ordered a pint, but sadly, they served it in a chilled pint glass, which killed the head, mouthfeel, and some of the flavor/aroma. In a room temp glass, the beer was great though. Smooth, thick and chewy. Carbonation and a slight bitterness kept the beer balanced and kept it from becoming cloying. Hints of toast, banana, smoke, brown sugar, nuts and toffee. Some bitterness built in the aftertaste. Pretty flavorful beer that was surprisingly drinkable.
