From Arizona’s high country comes Wapiti, hand crafted with mountain pure water, two-row malted barley, yeast and Yakima Valley hops. Our Brewers use traditional methods to create this full-bodied amber ale with a distinct hoppy aroma. Wapiti should be enjoyed cool not cold to best expeirience the complex character and flowery aroma.

Blue Can from Tops. Pours a nice amber color with a small off white head. Aroma is caramel, hops, spices. Flavor is sticky slightly caramelized caramel malt, spices, nuts and a decent dose of hops. Lots of flavor in this amber, well done.

craig hooks me up with another tick for the road. Great guy. Beer pours an amber pour with a somewhat creamy off white head. Nose of dried peaches, oxidized apples, toasted grain and an odd hard cheese note. Flavor is a bit watery with some very faint hops. Old apples, bread, honey and light tofee notes. Ok.

Thanks to cbkschubert for this beer. 12oz light blue can. Pours a nice amber color with a white head with lots of lacing. Taste is caramel and little hops. Nice malt too. taste is kinda sweet. Nice beer IMHO.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2010 12oz. can. Pours a hazy, dark, deep reddish-orange amber color. A small, broken, khaki colored film is surrounded by a bubbly edge. Jagged bands of lacing circle the glass. The aroma is unimpressive, showing overly sweet, sugary candy and dough notes amidst an overtone of stale bread grain and cheap caramel. Faded, oxidized floral hop notes lend little in terms of balance. Flavors are also sweet, sugary, and stale, with overbearing notes of caramel and cotton candy. There’s also a buttery overtone that just doesn’t sit right. Lightly peppery hops are all bit gone. The palate is too thick, too sugary, and too cloying, with an oxidized finish that is just not acceptable. Not even close to good.

Can. Pours a hazy and somewhat murky looking light brown amber with a thin to medium sized white head. Nice biscuity malt and some clean citrus hop notes. Medium bodied, malty with a touch of chocolate. Finishes up with a touch of booze, some earthy malt, and a light sweetness. Interesting.

This has a malty aroma, nice orange appearance. Flavor is similar, quite malty with a thinnish finish. Pretty on style.

12 oz can from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours hazy amber color with tan head. Malty aroma with some floral hops. Moderately sweet caramel malt flavor with a slight amount of bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation.

Sampled at GTBF. Just nothing there that separates it from any other amber. Burnt orange/reddish hue with a small ivory head. Aroma and flavor are filled with caramel malt. Pretty light in palate...although not thin. A good beer...just not special.

On tap @1702 - Pours a clear deep amber color with a small off white head. Light lacing. Flavor and aroma is toasted malt. Very malty. Not a lot of hop presence. Medium body. A very good Amber ale.

draft at the Green Room (formerly the Mogollon brew pub) - Pours amber with a one finger white head. It smells mainly of caramel malt. The flavor is of lightly toasted caramel malt with a hint of hops. This light bodied brew is decent and thoroughly average for an amber.
