COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mohawk Belgian Grand Cru is a dark strong Belgian Ale fermented on raisins and vanilla. It’s velvety smooth, yet with a bite of alcohol and spices from the yeast. This beer will improve with age. Bring it out when it’s time to splice the mainbrace.

Bottle split in London, from Systembaloget Nordstan, 10/07/14. Clear chestnut brown with a light reddish hues and a good sized beige covering that thins to spotting and edgework. Nose is dark fruits, burnt toffee, dates, caramelised sugars, prune juice. Taste is pretty sweet, dates, sticky toffee pudding, sweet toffee apple, raisens, candied sugars, faint yeast ester. Medium + body, fine carbonation, a little overly cloying and sweet. The alcohol is well disguised but overall just too sweet for me to be something I’d look to return to.

Flaska från SB regeringsgatan. Mörkt brun med beige skum. Söt doft av russin och kola. Smörkola och mörka bär i smaken.

Wonderful aroma, full of chocolate with notes of sherry and sweet malt. Very dark with a thick stout like head. Lots of taste, first a nice fresh taste and feel, long, long taste, wich overtime reveal more chocolate and spice notes, some sherry or booze like warmth also some vanilla, very pleasant. A rather oily texture with average carbonation, long finish, smooth.. Again a beer in like..

Kraftig sötma i aromen, mörka toner, russin.

Slutsats; riktigt smaskens!

375ml bottle. Pours a dark mahogany, with a thick brown head. Complex, spicy aroma, caramel, yeasty phenols, dried fruits, hops, candied sugar, plums, prunes, licorice, apricot. Sweet, full bodied, mid bitterness, creamy CO2. Spicy, fruity, quite complex taste, dried fruit, caramel, yeast, candied sugar, plums, leather. Although rich in flavours, it feels a bit one dimensional after a bit. Maybe it is the growing sweetness? (2014-10-24)

Bottle. Pours a near-clear ruby-hued body with a large creamy off-white head. Nose is raisins, black pepper, wood, vanilla, red berries, alcohol and hints of caramel and toffee. Taste is raisins, toffee, vanilla and hints of alcohol, caramel and syrup. Full body, soft to medium carbonation. Fair enough, but very sweet and not quite my thing.

Pours dark brown/dark red and "clear", with 2-finger good head and lots of lacing. Aroma is very complex and intense; raisins, rum-like aromas (roasted sugar and hint of alcohol), oakiness and dried fruits are all very strong. Taste is also very intense, but not as good as aroma. Raisins are strongest, and less of vanilla, dried fruits and oakiness are also present. Palate is intense and full, just perfect for sipping. Well made quad, with lots of raisins and oakiness. You can’t feel any alcohol.

Deep lovely ruby brown color with a nice tan head. Some lacing. Nice complex aroma. Raisins, fruity, caramel, some alcohol and some spices. Fine body. A bit sweet and a moderate bitterness. A little bit unbalanced. Soft carbonation. Good complexity in the flavor. Mostly the same as in the aroma. Fruity, raisins, some alcohol, toffee and some spices. Tasty stuff.

Forgetfu Tasting at ChrisOs. Lightly hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry. Strong but thin toffee - caramel. Little sweet cream. Sweet tangy fruits. Brown sugar. Light dry finish. Pretty bloody sweet!
