COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours a black body with a small caramel head. Nose is roasted malts, coffee and hints of licorice. Taste is coffee, bitter hops, roasted malts and hints of chocolate. A surprisingly filling porter, whose taste profile and mouthfeel are almost similar to an imperial stout, or at least a strong porter. Black Rocket Porter is light-bodied and highly drinkable, yet very tasty and well composed porter - being able to pack so much flavor despite maintaining the genre-correct low ABV is a brewing feat not to be underestimated. I would love to drink more from Slottskällan in the future.

330 ml bottle, from Systembolaget. ABV is 5.5%. Black colour, big brown head. Lovely aroma of roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate and coffee, hints of English liquorice. The flavour is roasty with notes of coffee, hints of liquorice, dark chocolate and burnt toast. Some fruity notes in the background. Distinct bitter finish, both from the hops and the roasted malts.

Bottle thanks to Todeon! Pours dark brown with a two finger fizzy brownish orange head. The aroma is roasted and lactic with a touch of coffee and blackberries. The flavor is roasted and soapy with a dry start then comes a distinct brown sugar sweetness on the tip of the tongue. Very nice soft mouthfeel. It rounds out dry and nutty with roasted coffee beans and a soapy, bitter finish. A very flavorful porter.
