COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: 500 ml bottle from 2012 was brewed at de Proef brewery.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Strong hoppy aroma, suprise with a porter. Very dark brown beer with beautiful beige head tall at first but then dissapearing. Taste is dominated by the hoppyness which comes on quite strong but then leaving some room for the soft roasted malts, aftertaste being hoppy again. Medium body, quite smooth palate. A different kind of porter with it’s hoppyness and enjoyable on I’d say.

Något baktung med en bitter eftersmak som sjunker in lite för djupt. Annars är det en rätt angenäm porter som skickar njutning i gommens alla riktningar.

Short brown foam. Aroma with leather and coffey with a tuch of solvents. Big complex taste with balanced bitterness. A realy good beer and not much alcohol at a good price.

deflagro (106) - Lund, SWEDEN - DEC 7, 2009
Bottle. Pours an almost black liquid with a rather large, beige head. Aroma is a bit sweet and heavily roasted with notes of coffee and some asparagus. Taste is balanced with a lot of roasted notes, some chocolate, coffee, vanilla and a nice sweetness. Nice, smooth mouthfeel. A good porter.

Bottled from Systembolaget Black wih a beige, creamy head. Tar, leather, chocolate, salty and slightly sourish in both aroma and flavour. Fresh still fullbodied with a medium to high bitterness.

Bottled. Pours out in a black colour with a small creamy tan-coloured head. Crisp aroma of roasted malts, chocolate crisps, mild anise and grass. Medium-bodied with notes of roasted malts, coffee, mild pine, nuts and grass. Rounded yet crisp mouthfeel. Long medium-bitter finish of roasted malts, dark chocolate, cookies, mild pine and grass. Nice Sierra Nevada clone, this.

Bottle. Very dark, almost pitch black. The brown foam was very large but did disappear fairly quickly. The aroma was light roasted malt with chocolate and something resembling grass. The flavor contained dried fruit, a little citrus, weak coffee tones, chocolate and some nuts, especially in the rather bitter aftertaste. A nice porter with a nice mouthfeel, a bit creamy. Liquid was dry. Not bad.

(Bottle) Pours dark brown to black with a creamy light brown head. The aroma holds dark bread and liquorice roast up front alongside clear notes of ginger and clove. Undertones of dark chocolate cookies, coffee, dough and asphalt. Grass, resinous pine and citric-like hops. Orange marmalade and mint bubblegum. A tiny touch of dry caramel also notable. The nose reminds me of a modern Danish Stout - lots of roast and hops. The flavour is light sweet, light to medium bitter and tiny acidic. A whisper of caramel plays well with the roasted and hoppy profile. Asphalt, grapefruit, pine, coffee, ginger, juniper berries and dark bread. The mouthfeel is soft, smooth and friendly - one of the most important things in a dark, well hopped beer if you ask me. Nutty hops and tart coffee roast on the finish. Near medium bodied. Nice work gusgus!

ekstedt (5487) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 2, 2009
Bottle ࿁ cl) from Systembolaget. Pitch black with medium fluffy beige head. Roasted aroma with pungent perfumy hoppy notes of pine, citrus and grass. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry and very bitter. Like a dry West Coast IPA with loads of roasted malt, not entirely satisfactory for the palate.
