COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2009-2010, 2014 brewed at Slottskällans Bryggeri. 2012 brewed at de Proef brewery. From 2015 brewed at own plant at Vega Bryggeri.

Aroma: sourish heavily roasted malts, fresh aroma hops, cocoa, something akin to the sourness of rowanberries, liquorice, faint esters towards pineapple and pears. Again liquorice.
Flavour: roasted malt sweetness, mild hop bitterness throughout. Walnuts, hazelnuts and chestnuts. Sour malt bitterness in the end.
Appearance: brownish black with yellowish tan foam.
Palate: fizzy, thick by carbonation... not bad but not outstanding

Bottle from Systembolaget. BB 2017-04-27. A fair bit of coffee, chocolate and roasty malt, as well as some sweet vanilla like tones on the nose. Highly carbonated, the frothy tan head filled up the entire glass instantly when pouring. Black, almost completely opaque, some very deep red tones, looks nice. Medium sweetness and bitterness in a nice balance. Medium-light body, slightly creamy and slick, bitter finish that lingers a bit. A pleasant and straight forward porter.

12oz bottle pours a dark brown/black with a medium pale tan head. Aroma of scotch tape piney hops, roasted malt, and chocolate malt. Taste of roasted malt, dry bitter earthy hops, and chocolate, finishing with more bitterness. It’s a solid Porter.

Close to black body with a large, creamy, light-brown, very long-lived head on top. Dry, malty and strong aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, ash and cigarettes. Strong flavour of dark roasted malt, coffee, ash, cigarettes and tobacco, with yeasty hints and faint fruits in the back. Light sweet taste with a long-lasting moderate bitter finish. Mid-bodied, dry and with a soft carbonation. A nice one.
