MOHAWK BLIZZARD IMPERIAL PORTER 2012: Mohawk Blizzard är ett extremt öl. Det är bryggt med tio maltsorter, mörkt rörsocker och honung, samt åtta olika humlesorter. English: Mohawk Blizzard is an extreme beer. It is brewed with ten malts, dark cane sugar and honey, as well as eight different varieties of hops. All this to help with complexity, while providing balance and elegance. Drink now, or save a few bottles for next year and see how the layered tones of fortified wine and nuts adds a further dimension to this beer.

Pours dark brown with big tanned lasting head. Aroma of fruits, some nuts and burnt sugar. Lots of nuts in the taste, the same bitterness you get from valnuts. There are also some dark fruits and burnt sugar. woody, Full body with a oily texture. It ends with a lovely long aftertaste. This is great!

Dark brown color. Roasted aromas, heavy malt, brown sugar, honey, coffee. Sweet tasting, brown sugar, chocolate, roasted malt, some coffe. Roasted, bitter finish. Really good.

(Mohawk Blizzard Imperial Porter (2012-)) Bottle 330 ml at home, thanks to Nische! Vintage 2013, served into a snifter, ABV 9.7% Black coloured body with a huge and very thick, beige head sitting on top, very good retention. Aroma of oats, liquorice, honey, plums, light roasted malts, molasse. Nice taste with roasted malts, chocolate, oats, light liquorice, honey, light dark coffee on the finish. Medium to thick body with soft carbonation. Very good.

Bottle. Pours black with thick brown head. Aroma with a lot of coffe, roasted malt, and coacoa. Coffe and dark chocolate taste and malty. Full body and very nice palate. A ver good stout that will improve with age.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Very dark / black with a tan creamy head. Bitter aroma, chocolate, mocha, dark dried fruit, pine. Creamy mouthfeel, low carbonated. Well-balanced taste of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, coffee beans, licorice, sticky dried plums.
