375 ml green bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 9.9%. Cloudy dark red colour, moderate off-white / pinkish head. Aroma- of over-ripe raspberries, also cherry juice, crushed cherry kernels and marzipan. Fruity flavour, sweet and sour (more sweet than sour), over-ripe raspberries and cherries again, the finish is drier with fairly bitter hops. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse.

Bottle. Pours a dark, red-hued brown body with a medium creamy beige head. Nose is oak, vanilla, raisins, mild bretty stable funk notes, caramel and hints of figs, candi sugar and alcohol. Taste is caramel, red wine, oak, citrus, red berries, bretty funk notes and hints of brown bread, grains, alcohol, raisins and figs. Full body, medium carbonation. Complex, strong and quite intriguing. I like it.

Bottle, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. It pours an unclear, dark brown body with a small, beige head. The aroma has some sourish berry hints, with caramel, bread and nuts. It’s nicely carbonated, full-bodied and semi tart, with some bitterness. Mostly on the malty side in the flavor too, with some berries and bitterness. Lasting finish with a bitterness balancing the sweetness and sourish berries. Pretty nice this one, hiding the alcohol very well too. 140823
