Spicy, fruity aroma, oak, hops, vanilla, strawberries, licorice, caramel, banana, alcohol, menthol, orange peel.
Sweet, full bodied, mid bitterness, creamy CO2.
Rich, sweet taste, alcohol, wood, hops, vanilla, fruit, spices, dark cherries, candied sugar.
Totalyy schizophrenic, quite impressive, but more or less unuseable. Interesting. (2013-05-03)

375 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours hazy chestnut brown with a frothy beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet with caramel, curacao, alcohol, sweet dark bread, bourbon, vanilla fudge, roasted coconut, resin, pine needles, prunes, raisins, grapefruit rinds and lemon zest. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, plums in brandy, sweet dark bread, alcohol, vanilla fudge, bourbon, coconut, fresh oak, caramelized apples, tart cherries, curacao, figs, pine needles, resin and orange peal. Mouthfeel is round, very tiny dry, tiny astringent, boozy and near full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter with caramel, bourbon, fresh oak, plums, figs, vanilla fudge and alcohol. Tasty for such a monster of a beer.

Jeez the heavy scent and small it was in this beer. The aftertaste is left long. A little too much alcohol in this beer unfortunately.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Mörk, mörk kopparfärgad vätska med högt, mörkt skum. Påtaglig doft av russin, mörkt socker och choklad. Kraftig sötma i smak. Markerad alkoholfyllnad i munnen, precis på gränsen till att ta över. Lång eftersmak med vinkaraktär.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a red hint. Aroma is everything but the kitchen sink: dark sugar, ripe apple, honey, nutmeg, chocolate...
Taste is sweet with muscovado sugar, applebrandy, caramel, toffee, vanilla, honey, dates with hints of mango, dill, and soya. Some boozy notes in the finish which is not surprising considering the abv. Really good!

bottle at home... deeep brown ... thin tan head ... dark malts ... soft floral hop nose ... very sweet ... soft fruity toffee ... zezty lime... oily fruits ... juicy fuits... soft malts ... very mellow smooth rounded ... alcohol is hidden up front... but its there... juicy fruity malts ... lovely

Det är lite synd att man ofta är onykter när man dricker små guldkorn. Det här var en mycket trevlig öl, kraftig till tusen och med toner av vanilj.
