COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English translation: Mohawk Unfiltered Lager is a modern Vienna. The soft maltiness comes from the use of Pilsener- Vienna and Munich malt. This is balanced against German hops for bitterness and flavour. The beer is finished similar to an American Pale Ale. Large amounts of US and NZ hops is used for aroma, and even more is added to the lager tanks in dry form. This yields a big fruity and flowery hop aroma to the beer, with emphasis on citrus and tropical fruits. Just like in American craft brewed ales. The beer is finally bottled without filtration. This leaves all those precious aromas and flavours unharmed. The beer may look hazy, but if you leave the bottle alone for a while, the yeast will settle to the bottom. It is a matter of personal preference whether you leave the sediment behind when you pour the beer.

A blast of hop aromas and the taste is fruity and slightly acidic. The hops dominate totally and completely takes over the taste. I prefer beers with clear malt flavors that is non-existent here.

Bottle. Clear, golden liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, sweet tropical fruit, cereal, grass, noble hops and biscuits. Maybe some light DMS or sulfur. Taste is quite dry and medium bitter with a good malty backbone of biscuits and bread and also some fresh hops. Medium bodied with quite soft carbonation. Nice and refreshing, works well as a summer beer.

Bottle. Hazy pale amber colour with a white head. Very nice fruity and hoppy aroma. Hoppy, medium bitter flavor with lots of tropical fruit and citrus. Also a bit of bready maltiness. Dry finish. This is the way i like it. Lots of aroma hops, but with a balanced and not agressive bitterness. A winner this summer.
