Bottle from Systembolaget. Smella nd taste of chocolate, coffee, roated notes and soy sauce. Well hidden alcohol. Fruity finish. Easy to drink despite the high ABV. would have liked a bit thicker body, but besides that a very nice beer.

Smells wonderful and almost little Christmas over the beer. The flavor is intense and dark. The aftertaste is never ending and feel a little coffee flavor too. Clearly a worth buying beer. Really good and want to have a beer that lasts, it fits this well.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours dark brown with a thick brown head. Sweet aromas at first, then roasted malt, coffee and chocolate, some vanilla. Taste is focused on roasted malt and bitter coffee, some dry/bitter chocolate. Citrusy and dry piny hops at the end. Mouth feel is smooth, medium carbonation. Aftertaste is long, dry and bitter. Alcohol is very well hidden. A nice imperial stout but nothing new under the sun.

500ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and soapy hops in the aroma. Chocolately, roasted, hoppy and slightly sweet taste with notes of coffee, chocolate and soapy hops standing out. Smooth, easy to drink. It certainly doesn’t taste as strong as 9.7%.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2012 Bottle: Thanx to Mr Rask! Black colour, with a werry nice big creamy brown head! Aroma is dominated of a nice mix of smokey, coffee, and dark choclate, rasins, is there a bit of too. Viny, and caramelly. Flavor had a cofee, vanilla dark choclate mouth feeling. Medium body, and a nice medium coffee fruity finish!

Bottle. Dark brown close to black with a light brown diminishing head. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, mild coffee and hoppy grapefruit/pineapple/citrus notes. Soft and light creamy mouth feel but quite light body. Taste is licorice, roasted malt, cocoa with a bit of hoppy citrus. A little salt in the finish. Nice and well made but nothing groundbreaking.

(Bottle) Pours dark brown to black with a creamy, brown head. The aroma holds lots of fresh grapefruity hops and salt liquorice up front with undertones of cocoa, coffee, coal, asphalt brown sugar, honey tea, juicy dark bread, raisins, peppery vanilla, grass and a touch of yellow fruits. The deep malt profile and juicy hoppiness makes the nose near perfect. The flavour is light sweet, medium bitter and tiny acidic with notes of nice clean roasted and deep malt alongside resinous, grassy, spice, floral and citric hops. Undertones of brown sugar, dark caramel and liquorice. The mouthfeel is round, clean and smooth with a light tart-ish ending. Soft carbonation. Lingering salty, roasted and earthy/woodsy/grapefruity finish. Medium to full bodied.
