Appearance: Sinful dark and subtle red color, with a creamy beige head. Nice lacing.
Aroma: Rich roasted malt, coffee, hoppy and chocolate.
Palate: Full body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Complex and heavy stuff. Roasted malt, coffee, light fruity, hoppy and some chocolate. Well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: It is not often I notice hopps in Imperial stout. It was not to difficult in this one. Lovely tasty powerful ale. I am a big Mohawk fan!

Short brown head. Cleqar brown color.
Big coffey arona and dark roasted malts. Much caramell and dark roasted roasted malts. Alcoholic and a bit young in the taste. Firm body and some residual sweetness.

Sampled from the cask @ Bishops Arms Malmo. Pours black with a light brown head. Big dark chocolate aroma, taste is chocolate with a pleasant bitterness in the finish

Draft at Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmo. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of caramel, milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, slight vanilla, toffee and biscuit. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with moderate carbonation.

(Bottle). The aroma and flavor is made up of chocolate, roasted malt and tangy fruit. Bitterness is dry but also very tangy and fruity. Basically a good beer but its bitterness I do not like.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2013 Bottle, traded with Cunningham. Aroma of dry chocolate, roast and piney hops, some licorice notes and fruity hints. Full, thick body, light sweet taste, deeply roasted flavour. Rather harsh on the palate - it’s so roasted, that it gets tart and results in a strong and rough bitterness. The finish is roasty and hoppy, with notes of coffee and earth. Not too complex and not too smooth but all in all a very good beer.

Very nice hoppy twang to an otherwise decent roast. I’m thinking "black IPA" here. Lovely rich roast, slight moccha cakeyness. Retronasals are richly roasted, but also nettly hops too. Full and smooth palate pleasat carbonation. Finish roasty, heading towards burnt, but definitely not ashy. There’s a strange sharpness which is a little offputting, otherwise it’s very nice.

Dark reddish brown colour with a greyish white head.
The aroma is Black IPA. Liquorice, roasted malt, fruity hops, moderate bitterness and grass. Nice!
The flavour is roasted malt, ashy notes, bitterish hops, grass and dryness. Very nice. Only a bit waterish.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BBE 130813, from Systembolaget, 20130406) The beer poured almost black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had roasted malts, hops, liquorice and sweetness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, liquorice, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, roasty and bitter. A good hoppy imperial stout.
