COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500 ml bottle. ww11201. BB 130816. Courtesy of mjs. Dark reddish brown colour with a greyish white head. The aroma is Black IPA. Liquorice, roasted malt, fruity hops, moderate bitterness and grass. Nice! The flavour is roasted malt, ashy notes, bitterish hops, grass and dryness. Very nice. Only a bit waterish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 28 Sep 2012) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, cacao and a touch of liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, dark chocolate, cacao, liquorice and a generous, fresh coffee bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with just a touch of sweetness. Very tasty and well balanced, with alcohol fairly well hidden. Excellent imperial stout!

500ml Bottle - Black with a tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and soapy hops in the aroma. Chocolately, roasted, hoppy and slightly sweet taste with notes of coffee, chocolate and soapy hops standing out. Smooth, easy to drink. It certainly doesn’t taste as strong as 9.7%.

0.5 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Black color. Very coffeish aroma with pepper, grass, leather, juniper and hint of smoke. Sweet and roasty flavor with grassy coffee, licorice and bitter chocolate. Full body, some tannic astringency in the palate. Not my favourite IS, but quite complex.
