COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle (330 ml) from Systembolaget. Roasted malty with chocolate, coffee and some vanilla notes, sweet, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter and roasted malty with chocolate. Quite nice.

Black with a brown head - very good roasted malt aroma - a good roasted malt body with some coffee flabours - the roasted malt lingers for a long time in the finish - this was good

Det här är en riktigt skön öl, stabil kropp, välbalanserad och ytterst välsmakande. Smaken bär inslag av rostad malt, choklad och en odefinierad fruktighet. Slutsats: bra jävla stout!

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2014 (Bottle). The aroma and flavor is made up of chocolate, roasted malt and some tangy fruit. Bitterness is dry and hoppy but also tangy and fruity.

Clear, black body with a small, tan, reasonably long-lived head, ok lacing. Strong roasted aroma of coffee and green-ish coffee beans, and with the same piney feel as the Mohawk Blizzard Imperial Porter. Also quite herbal, and traces of tar and leather. Strong flavour of coffee, with a piney, herbal ashy background. Moderate to light sweet and moderate bitter taste. Close to full-bodied, dry texture and fairly soft carbonation. A good one.
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 8 years before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]

500ml bottle, 2012 edition. Dark brown, almost black, body with a big brown tainted crown. Rye bread, coffee, dark chocolate, soy, orange peel, licorice and dried raisins. Nice strong bitter ending with a touch of dried raisin and fudge. A nice IS from Mohawk, although I prefer Blizzard.

Ar: honey, ash, coffee, hops, vanilla, smoke, alcohol. Ap: black colour, medium beige head, very creamy, lacing. F: coffe, licorice, ash, soft bitterness for the style, astringency, bit flat and onedimensional. M: sharp carbonation. T: mediocre.

Bottle. Pours near black with minimal light tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, licorice, nutty, hops, chocolate, vanilla. Taste is medium sweet and bitter. Body is is medium, texture is light creamy/watery, carbonation is near average. Finishes dry and astringent malty. Hides it’s ABV very well, I thought it was lower. I would prefer at little more body.
