mtoast (290), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 3, 2007 75cL bottle, cork dated 2.07. Initial pop of the cork let loose some nasty skunkiness that faded very quickly once poured into a glass. Pours a slightly hazy liquid, deep golden in color, short lived fizzy white foam, very minimal lacing. Aroma is lots of green apple skins with some almost minty hop notes and maybe just a touch of honey. Flavor is lots of green apple, quickly fading to a very dry hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is about perfect for the style, crisp, highly carbonated and light on the palate for 7.5%. Not bad, but give me the chemically engineered version any day, much more malt complexity. malrubius (969), Valley Stream, New York, USA Sep 22, 2007 11.2 ounce bottle in a Duvel glass. Cloudy orange with off-white head and lace. Aroma of hops, citrus, spice and pizza dough. Complex mix of flavors: honey-orange fruitiness, tobacco-spice bitterness. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. Overall: Very excellent. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Sep 21, 2007 Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow with a thin white head. The aroma has a orange peal hint to it, also there is suttle wheat, overall the aroma is not overwhelming. The taste is something I have never had before and is very hard to explain. Sweet at first but leaves a leafy dry finish. I like it, but in a total different way than most beers. acearl (207), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2007 2006 Stamped Cork...750ml Bottle...In USA as Foret. Great Label...Dangerous cork explosion and almost killed me, luckily I followed protocol and did not point at my face...Hazy Yellow/Orange Amber Hue with thick lasting white foamy head, excellent lacing in Duvel Tulip...Light wheaty smell, lost carbonation rather quickly, not a whole lot of flavor but light in wheat, dough and citrus. Long doughy finish...Organic beers tend to not be as flavorful as their conventional counterparts...This was a little less flavorful than Saison Dupont but the lack of preservatives goes a long way...Still great and good for you too!!! beermouth (434), Langeskov, Denmark Sep 15, 2007 Hazy golden yellow with fine floffy white head. Very citrusy... Got some yeast, hops, flowers and malty caracter. Smooth with nice long taste... cab (861), Denmark Sep 13, 2007 Bottel.33cl. Aroma held lots of interest: Citrus, spice, bread dough, summer garden. Light to medium bodied and dry. Dedollewaitor (3622), Odense, Denmark Sep 13, 2007 Unclear Golden yellow with a fine white head. Very fine appearance! Aroma and taste of yeast, fruity orange, malt & hops. Filling body - light and refreshing.. Little sweetness before a dry hoppy end kicks in - little fruity sour as well - pleasant. Very great Belgium! Fine & complex! JoeinUccle (902), Brussels, Belgium Sep 12, 2007 75 cL, year-old. Semi-hazy gold with a big, gorgeous white head. Nose is very herbal and spicy with some hop and citrus. Tastes mildly bitter with a wash of cilantro and more focused, mild hopping toward the back. Lots of black pepper. Semi-dry, medium-bodied. Peppery, lightly grass-hoppy aftertaste. I found it delicious from start to finish.
