"Foret" branding. Balanced sweet/sour, with nice bitterness. Sweet and fruity aroma, complemented by yeasty sourness and spicey light-body. Refreshing!

75cl. "Foret" from the supermarket. Poured a pretty hazy yellow/amber with a huge rocky head. Aroma mainly of banana/yeast, along with some baking-style spice. Major bubblegum flavor, with a mild white pepper-like spiciness and some citrus and fresh grass notes. Not cheap, but nicely balanced and refreshing on a summer day.

My first saison beer. Tastes like a belgian white beer meets a belgian trappist ale. Pretty good taste. Pours a orange yellow color with a big white foamy head. Not to shabby.

Had this from a bottle under this name: Dupont Foret. Apparently, its bottled under several names. Shared with new friends over a Sushi dinner. Poured a pretty copper color with a large white frothy head. Very light aroma of citrus and grass. Slightly sweet taste of citrus and honey. Some grass, and a nice finish. Didnt taste the alcohol at all. This was a very good beer. THANKS ED for sharing!

2006 bottle, BB 2010. Pours a lightly hazy, orange color with a full, brilliant white, fluffy-rocky head; head is persistant but inconsistant and leaves minimal scattered lacing. Nose is nice but somewhat subdued; citrus notes of lemon peel and green apple, grass hay, light musty-funky yeast, light peppery hops, and faint banana esters. Flavor is similar but more pronounced; lemons create a light tartness with other notes including honey, grass, light yeast funk, and a spiciness which become more apparent as the flavor progresses as well as a moderate bitterness which comes into the picture late as well. Palate is not quite medium, very lively and a little prickly, and dry, but somewhat queching from the tartness. Finishes dry, somewhat short, and mostly bitter with lemon peel, light grass, and a peppery spice which stick around in the aftertaste. Nice suitable saison, spicy, grassy, and tartly citrus with plenty of carbonation, and a decent bitterness. A style that is great to fall back on every once in a while; never groundbreaking, but always worth the attention and pleasant for numerous occassions.
