The carbonation is zippy and the yeast profile is barnyard all the way to the barn. If the beer was drier I would have enjoyed it more. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2007 Bottle shared by the manager of the Mellow Mushroom with me. Pours out a yellow color with a thick white head on it. Smell is sweet and grassy, with a hint of citrus fruits in it as well. Taste is smooth and light, with a good bit of carbonation in it. Very refreshing for the style. I could probably drink this all day on a hot summer day. Not bad stuff. shp555 (1681), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 9, 2007 This beer pours a light amber with a very big billowing white head. Aroma is very yeasty musty but spicy at the same time. Taste is bitter but leaves you with a bit of earthy feel. I’m really starting to enjoy the tartness of saison and this one is so far my best. troysworktable (109), Washington, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 19/20 | Feb 7, 2007 25.4 ounce bottle. My second saison. This is a style I definitely enjoy. The pour is cloudy, translucent, and the color of a butterscotch candy. A generous white head stays through completion and leaves behind good lacing on the sides of the glass. The taste is floral and spicy. I smell and taste cloves, caraway seed, and coriander. These emerge from a background of flowers and pear. Foret is pleasant on the palate, sweet with a light hoppiness. Light alcohol flavor keeps the finish going, although diminished, pushing the spices to the forefront as it progresses. This is a sipping beer, and one with which to enjoy the company of good friends.
This was a great pairing with the wife’s chicken piccata, served over a bed of orzo. mcbackus (740), Merritt Island, Florida, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Mild aroma of yeast and spice. Golden appearance with patch of foam for a head. Flavor was average and had the usual tasting of yeast and spice but other than that i didnt see the big deal in this being a great beer.
