Hazy golden color. Malt aroma, with some spices. Good malty body, dry edge, spices (coriander), high bitterness, with a touch of bitter orange peel.

Foret label 750 mL bottle. A spicy, citrus aroma with a hint of earthiness and wheat. Great orange/yellow color with a big lasting white head. A crisp peppery, biting flavor that really leaves your mouth puckered from the tart finish. This could my favorite Saison I have had so far.

750mL bottle. Murky golden orange with a mountainous rocky white head. Earthen floral spiciness and some yeast in the aroma. Sharp, almost acrid perfumey spice flavor with some vegetal hop character. Long, almost tart finish with a crisp astringency and residual yeasty flavor components. Mouthfeel is a light medium, rather dry.

Bottled 750. 2006. How amazing! Beer is murky, medium caramel gold colored with a huge, frothy, off-white, slowly diminishing head.
The aroma is spicy, earthy and creamy. It’s malty with a light note of toasted grain, caramel, trace shortbread; Vibrantly hoppy with wholesome earthy notes of chamomile, clean, dry straw, grassy lemon zest, pine; Yeasty with a trace of basement, light note of horseblanket; Light note of alcohol and sweet green apple peel, poached pear, trace of oaky vanilla, candied ginger.
The flavor is moderately bittersweet/dryish, trace acidic with a long, lightly bitter, moderately sweet, lightly acidic finish. Some warmth.
The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.

Foret. Cork says 2005. Pours bright gold into a tulip. Significant micro head leaves chunky lacing as it fairly quickly recedes to mound on the surface. Earth and honey aromas. Full with sweet caramel, lemon and dry funk. Lasting bitter finish.

33 ml bottle, "Foret" label.

Pours a gorgeous hazy pumpkin gold with a fluffy white head that recedes relatievly quickly Squash and spice on the aroma, yeasty and just a tiny bit funky, a twist of citric belgian hops in there somewhere and a whiff of mustard seed. After that laid-back aroma, the flavor is almost aggressive - it’s tangy, citrus, certainly some wild funky notes, a hint of green apple, and a bit of pepper with a good solid hoppy close, tart and bitter like argugula. The mouthfeel is quite nice, creamy and well-carbonated but not overly prickly.

This is a very good saison all around.

cloudy golden color, wheaty scent with some bananas, well carbonated, decent flavor, not great, slightly disappointed
