In the nose, yeast, malts and fresh bread prevail, closely followed by citrus fruits and flowery hops. The taste is grainy with old bread, citrus juice sourish, fruity (peach) and finishing in a resolute hop bitterness. Very effervescent on the palate. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Aroma reminded me of hay, grass, lemon, soap, and black pepper. Hazy yellow color with a huge rocky white head. Good lacing. Moderately bitter flavor with hints of lemons and grass with a sweet and spicey finish. Lively carbonation with a dry texture. Very nice. jon112981 (327), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 9, 2006 Picked this up for half price at a bottle shop in Mansfield, Ohio (I’ll list the place after I get an address). Pours straw colored with a big white head. Hazy, but good looking. Lightly sweet aroma, fresh grain, hay, lemon, crisp and spring like. The flavor has lemon peal, fresh green grains, pepper, rose hips. Light and fresh but not really my cup of tea. My wife really liked it but there was too much pepper and flowers for me. Medium round body. radiomgb (1957), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank> beerhugger, thanks Steve. Hazy golden-orange in colour, long lasting white head, lots of lace. The aroma was very floral, yeasty, some bubblegum and lots of lemons. The flavour was yeasty, musty, lots of citrus (lemons mainly), floral, lightly sour. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, high carbonation. Finishes with a strong lingering bitterness. Very nice. Siroy (220), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Definitely better overall and more complex then the regular Saison Dupont. I would have a hard time trying to described the aroma, as it was sooo complex… suffice it to say that I agree with anyone who rated this before, as it may all be true because of the great complexity of the aroma. Floral, fruity, spicy. Everything’s in there!
Taste is citrus, banana/yeast, woody, barnyard (being that little something you find in the aftertaste of most sour ale) … well, complex too!
In deed, the palate is impressive too. medium body, oily texture, average/soft carbonation, long flowerish (but not hoppy!) finish.. NoiZe (1290), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands
