Hints of citrus and cream in the refined aroma. Full bodied. Soft hoppy flavor with hints of laurel, cream, malt, pear and citrus. Hopbitter aftertaste. Well balanced and some complexity.

Bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a big off-white head. Light sweet fruity, spicy aroma and a sweet fruity, spicy, perfumed taste. Medium body with a dry grassy finish.

Bottle, bought @ Vinspecialisten, Kolding.
Pours a light hazy pale yellow with a pretty, staying, frothy white head - good lacing. Aroma is great, flowery, ginger, banana, apples, coriander and a wheaty edge. Mouthfeel is great as well, quite dry and fills more than it looks like. Flavour has subdued sweetness, good crispiness and is elegantly spiced. Great Saison!

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized head. Lots of small floaters. Aromas of spices (mainly cloves), lemons, yeast, and some bananas. Tastes of citrus, yeast, and light bananas. As strange as it sounds, it also reminded me a little of a vanilla wafer. Thinner body.

~12 celsius, trappist glass Dupont Forêt First, this is one of the numerous incredible top belgians sent to me by Tampa’s rock’a Matt’a. Trust me Matt, they’re all drunk in adequate ceremonies! / Dupont Forêt (which wears a pretty curious label...) spreads a dark golden hue, cloudy with an extremely complex aroma to die for. No exageration: I probably spent 30+ minutes sniffing it all in all in the ~45 minutes it took to drink the glass. Basically, it smells very sweet with plenty of little hard to spot characteristics among which stood out the meringue on top my my mother’s lemon pie. Very complex and great sniffing as I said, yeasty with notes of vanilla, lichen? pencil shavings woodiness. I had not really thought much about fruit character until the first sip in which I discern peaches and frivolous acid green apples. It’s grassy, sweet, woody (foret=forest) with a balancing mild/restrained bitterness in the finish paired with a light astringency. Body is very onctuous, sensual. Sensational, approaching the terrific Beatrix which I loved.
A new try of the Foret: This time, I found it a bit less of a sensory overload. I found the soft mouthfeel could be a bit fuller, a bit more carbonated. I suspect this was a bit too old. Sweet citrusy nose with loats of coriander, earth, leafy hops, peppery and mild alcohol tones. Spicy, salty bitter finish is green and grassy. I don’t think this was in prime condition so I won’t change the rating, but I’d give this new try 9/4/8/3/16=4.0

[Bottle from a large and eloquent wilderbeast by the name of Bertrant, purveyor of Jolly Jigs] Aroma is a huge and nimble circle of spikey foxes, fed liduidsed cream cake rectally. The taste is shoe. the finish is carpet. Very enjoy foam, yet not of a bookish nature yes? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH Hmmmm...yes?

Hazy golden with a thick lacing white head. Sweet malty aroma with hints of cheese and banana. Body is full thick, and sweet with good complexity and a subtle tartness. Finish is dry and crisp. Hides its alcohol very well. A very good saison.
