Dupont Foret Bottle (75cl): Golden, cloudy, frothy white head with lots of gas. Spice, estery, yeasty and fruity. Feral, funky, dirty edge. Dirty lees or reductive that in this case add to the complexity. Dry to off try palate. Low bitterness. Very fresh almost crisp probably due to high CO2. Medium weight. creamy texture with an edge. Lively carbonation. Long finish. Other than the funky edge i love the complexity and balance. Certainly old world beer with style.

25cl bottle served in a Trappist glass. Pours a dark straw cloudy colour with a nice (slightly) off-white head which lasts well throughout the drink with localised areas of carbonation. Aroma is grainy with hints of yeast and citrus. Taste is lemon curd, Belgian yeast, straw with a nice stony dryness. Overall a very well balanced beer and extremely fresh tasting.

From a 75 cl bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a hazy gold with a massive off white head. Aroma of lemon and Belgian yeast. Flavors of tripical fruits with some butterscotch. Smooth, clean finish.

Heldere gouden oranje kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt mout, kruiden, stro. Smaakt bitterzoet, kruiden, mout en nog iets wat ik niet kan plaatsen. Iets stoffigs.

Bottle. Slightly hazy yellow brown golden color. Aromas are Saison-like: Ementhaler infused with lemon, slight pine hint. Nice overall fruity, slightly tropical yeast aroma. The aromas return in the taste, but they are quite (for lack of a better word) spikey: like tasting when you have just brushed your teeth. Slightly earthy, muddy water. Very bitter evolution, creaminess of the cheese in aftertaste. Subsequently, the taste mellows down and becomes a bit watery.

Fresh impression upon opening. Nice shade of yellow. Hazy enough not to see through. Clear enough to see the yeast residue at the bottom. It’s organic but it’s far from the original moinette from my decade-old recollections.

Bottle, 25cL. Home. Brown orange opaque on the top to yellow at the bottom of my glass. Large white head, medium retention. Beautiful lacing. Herbal aroma, spices, biscuit, light caramel, fruit (banana?, citrus?).Sweet welcoming, then medium bitter refreshing with a light sweet background. Medium body, silky texture, good carbonation, herbal bitter finish. Overall, a really nice belgian ale : delicious aroma, balanced aroma, silky texture. What else?

Clear golden color, minimal head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and banana. Taste is rather bitter with some light sweetness as well, average carbonation and bitter finish. Notes of banana, vanilla, Belgian yeast. A very pleasant bio!
