The beer pours a quite sibylline orange color with the head unpresumptuous in size, the texture creamy and the color a bright white. The lace formed is a quite “Chumpy” and melds well with the glass. Nose is a bit vinous, with malt undertones, crisp and citrus fresh, quite appealing to the eyes and the schnozzle with the start thickly malt and slightly sweet with the top slender in its feel to the palate. Finish is tart, strikingly acidic, hops are present but understated, tart and dry lingering aftertaste, and Saison’s have become a new favorite style, a quite quaffable brew.

11.2oz. bottle: This pours a darker golden color. There is a small white head on it, which tends to linger awhile. A lighter but nice aroma of spices, fruits and bread. A very good taste. It has a medium body, and I get notes of citrus and spiciness. Just a touch sweet with actually a note of sourness in the aftertaste. Another beer from Dupont worth having.

pours a cloudy dark orange colour with a white persistent head; aroma of cork, old apples, cellar and pineapples; a touch of nutmeg too; highly carbonated; tart and acidic, a medium malt body is hidden below; the finish is dry, bitter and acidic, astringent with lot of fruity notes (oranges and apples) - typically Dupont, typically good !

750 ml, "Dupont Foret." Glossy foggy golden, big lasting head. Intense yeasty nose, big on the sour apples with graceful hints of caramel, vanilla and orangepeel. Lovely ultra-creamy mouthfeel with just a hint of sharpness to finish. In between, yeasty and spicy, complex with sour apples, pine sap and bark, wormy humus. Very nice.

Straw, yeast, and some orange rind, methinks. I think the straw flavor comes from the dryness of the beer. Overall, this stuff is damn good! Great thirst-quenching refreshing qualities.

Pours a cloudy golden color with yeast particles floating throughout and a big, rocky white head that lingers. The aroma is strongly yeasty and spicy with a touch of cloves and bread. Medium body with medium carbonation, the flavor is crisp and fruity, with a touch of banana and yeast in the finish. Smooth and delicious, chalk another one up for the Belgians.

750 ml bottle 2008. Pours a hazy deep golden light orange with a massive sticky white head and nice lace. Aroma is very hoppy- grassy, herbal and almost a slight bit minty, esp when chilled- as it warms the yeasty esters and phenols come out - typical dupont strain- mineral , salt, fresh cut hay, farmhousey, with beautiful fresh bready malts and toast. Flavor is initially a orange chalky pez, minerallyness, with fresh grassy hops and light citrus, light minty bubblegum and yeasty doughy phenols- with slight leather in the finish. For a 7.5% saison the finish is there but it is so minerally and bone dry- very refreshing. Awesome saison.
