750ml bottle labeled as Foret. Great balance among spiciness, sweetness and bitterness. Large, frothy white head that sticks around. Hazy dark yellow body. The aroma is spicy with notes of clove and pepper as well as sweet with pineapple. Hints of toasted grain and floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. The sweetness drops off in the finish making room for a moderate bitterness. Medium body and very smooth texture. Lively carbonation. A real treat.

750 ml bottle, corked and caged, labeled as Foret, purchased at Royal Liquor in South Kansas City, Missouri. 2.008 stamped on the cork. Pour is a hazed cloudy orange yellow, with a very thick and pretty white head. Splotchy lacing lines the glass as the head slowly falls. Pretty. Aroma is big skunk initially, when that airs out, nice grainy, wheat, mineral and earthy yeastiness. Also a nice floral citrus tart sour smell going on. Nice nose. Taste is a nice soft grainy wheat, followed by a clove sweetness, then the citrus bite and finally a soft white pepper. More grassy mineral earthiness in the finish. Lots of spice and flavor in this one. Palate is medium, nice active carbonation and an earthy dry finish. Really nice.

11.2 ounce bottle in a Duvel glass. Cloudy orange with off-white head and lace. Aroma of hops, citrus, spice and pizza dough. Complex mix of flavors: honey-orange fruitiness, tobacco-spice bitterness. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. Overall: Very excellent.

Bottle. 22.5 oz. Pours a gorgeous dark honey with a thick, pungent white head. Aroma of sweet fruits, honey, spice, and a slight hint of licorice. Full body, but not overwhelming. Beautiful mouthfeel with a smooth, slow finish. Best saison I’ve ever tasted.

bottle. 2-004 on cork. cloudy dark yellow bordering on brown with a foamy pale head. wonderful aroma that struck me as i was pouring. yeast sweet grassy smells and a slight hint of alcohol. It is definitely making my saturday morning seem a little better. bitter lemon and biscuit are the three words that sprang to mind when i taste this. very refreshing and leaves a thick coating on my tongue with a lingering alcohol taste. This was worth getting out of bed for.

A damn fine saison. Bottle from WLV. Pour is a golden saison color, nose is a kiss of skunk with some spicy fruitiness behind it. All hops in the nose, surprisingly. Taste is similar, though the skunk washes out and has a spicier, tangy taste, a little banana and surprisingly bitter. A great beer on a hot day. Excellent.
