750 ml bottle. An unclear dark golden beer with a rich and persistent white head. The aroma is very nice, hoppy and yeasty more than malty with notes of flowers, grass, lemon and spices. there is also a light sour note. The flavour has a medium sweetness, atouch of acidity and a good hoppiness in the finish. A mild spiciness with some banana notes. Medium body, average/lively carbonation, dry quite long finish with medium bitterness. Plesant beer, maybe maltier flavours than a normal Saison and complex enough to gain after every sip.

Oct 5, 2008 Dupont Foret on tap at Novare Res. This was highly touted by the bartender, but i wasn’t too much of a fan. It’s got a typical Saison flavor, but a really stinky aroma. Smooth and decent tasting though.

Oct 1, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a full pillowtop head. The aroma is predominantly skunky funk with some metallic accents and a little citrus. The skunk doesn’t carry over to the taste, leaving a nice bitter earthiness, with some grassy notes and a hint of the metallic mineral-ness. Overall, the taste is pretty good, however the smell leaves a little to be desired.

Sep 23, 2008 C&C 750 under the Moinette label, courtesy Alraomon. Thanks Sean! Orange-amber color with a huge head and great lacing. Aroma of yeast, stone fruits and candi sugar with earthy and spicy notes. Fruity and spicy taste with caramel undertones. Smooth and full bodied. Very drinkable.

does not count  Sep 23, 2008 Got a bottle of the Foret. Pours murkey with a large, frothy head that sticks around. Medium particles can be seen in this light amber liquid. Light aroma with floral and yeast and hops notes. The first sip was amazingly unexpected. Mouthfeel was like creamy velvet. Citrus, vanilla and flowers start this one off with nutmeg throughout. Finishes acidic that does not linger. This one would be good cold to quench your thirst, but might work a little warmer as an aperitif or with a meal.

Sep 21, 2008 wonderful aroma of yeast, pours cloudy yellow. some aroma of hops, definately more hopped then traditional dupont fare. very spicy, reminds me more of a regular belgian ale then a saison. however, the yeast character brings me back. very little of this peppery quality is found in the nose to foreshadow its strong evidence on the tounge. razor sharp dry finish leaves the mouth clean and refreshed with only a touch of alcoholic burn to remember it by.
