Allen (1285), Switzerland Nov 3, 2009 Bottled 33cl. It pours a hazy golden beer with a nice white head. Strong, fantastic inviting hoppy aroma with hints of pepper, melon, leather, vanilla, blackberry, coriander and a lot of yeast. There is a nice bite to this beer. Good lacework. Relatively strong bitterness. Subtle carbonation. Complex, vinous and fruity. Great hop profile. Peppery on the swallow. Long dry finish which is reminiscent of clove and coriander. A sublime beer. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Oct 27, 2009 Bottled 330ml. -at Gollem de Pijp, Amsterdam. Hazy yellow/orange coloured, medium sized white head, lots of yeasty sediment floating in my glass. Malty, very fruity and spicy with notes of alcohol and vanilla sticks. Sourish finish. Complex brew. imdownthepub (5089), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Oct 20, 2009 Bottle conditioned, 330ml, aged 6ys. Slightly hazy orange gold with white head. Spicy, fruity beer with quite a smooth body. Touches of clove and coriander in a honeyed but not oversweet beer and hints of strawberry, pineapple on the fruity side. Non of this is overwhelming, the honeyed note develops to a toffee, caramel type flavour in the close. Pretty reasonable. mcberko (123), British Columbia, Canada Oct 14, 2009 750mL bottle split two ways - pours a hazy golden colour with an off-white head. Great body, with yeast, mild spice and great hoppy flavour. An excellent tripel. mcdav2154 (289), Germany Oct 13, 2009 Hazy golden body with a medium off white head. Spot lacing. Good body to this beer but a bit too much on the citric side for me. Yeasty flavor was good with notes of spice and tons of lemon peel. Good hoppy flavor. Just not my favorite but still a good beer. BeerChaser0078 (284), Melbourne, Australia Oct 7, 2009 330ml Bottle. Pours slightly hazy gold/orange with a fluffy white head that dissipates quickly to surface cover and leaves a lot of lace. Aroma is yeasty and, to a lesser extent, malty as well; there are notes of honey, lemon, banana, pepper and tropical fruits. Flavour is quite similar to aroma and strikes a nice balance between the sweet, fruity flavours and the spicy, earthy ones; hops are fairly subdued but become more noticeable in the finish. Medium bodied with a dry finish, this is an interesting, slightly different interpretation of the style from dupont which, like their other beers, does not disappoint. tmoreau (527), Lombard, Illinois, USA Sep 25, 2009 Sampled at a craft beer tasting at Curly’s Bar and Grill in Glen Ellyn, IL. Poured a light gold/straw color with a white, foamy head that reduced rather quickly to a ring and film, leaving some light, spotty lacing. The nose was a whiff of meaty yeast, followed by some spiciness and light fruit sweetness. The flavor added to these some tartness, subtle hop bitterness, and finishing dryness. WLG423 (43), Connecticut, USA Sep 18, 2009 Has a nice tart fruity aroma to it and pours out a nice golden orange. A great fruity tast as well with a slighty sour finish.
