Finn (1422), Tromsø, Norway Feb 19, 2008 Bottle at Battersea Beer Festival 8 Feb 08. Golden colored. A small white head. Some particles observed. Sweet fruity aroma. Carbonation drowning the flavor! Sweet fruity impression. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Feb 13, 2008 Hazy light amber with a thick white head. Grassy black pepper, skunky smell. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel. Nice pale malt, spice, and herbal hop flavors here. Not sure where the skunky smell came from. 12506 Arayaga2 (932), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 13, 2008 Fizzy hazed orange product with hay aroma. Fresh, sharp, clean and refreshing with a dry finish. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Feb 9, 2008 bottle, fruity almost bubble gum nose, malt flavor with nice mineral gravel finish yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 9, 2008 75 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a white head. Aroma is light spiced, mild fruity note and little malty accent. Flavour is mild malty and spiced towards wheaty - but also with a very special rubbery note - I guess the yeast commited suicide...Ends spiced and mild malty, continued slight rubbery note. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 4, 2008 The cork comes off with a loud POP! It reads 2007.
Pours a fully clouded orange with a nice off white head. Looks just beautiful. Nose is a consistent yeasty funk. Flavor is very nice. Very nice indeed. Nice full funk with a mild sugar tone that is not very visible. Mostly it is the yeast just dancing in your mouth. Very robust. Very hearty. Feel has a high carbonation that is almost a bit attacking on the tongue. Definitely worth trying. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA Jan 31, 2008 Sampled blind at "Better Know a Style: Abbey Tripel" tasting. Slightly hazy orange with decent white head. Spicy, orange, oak, light fruit. Fruity flavor with orange, spicy, saison-like, fresher, subdued alc. Well carbonated, medium to light in body. So good, maybe saison spice and subdued alc.
