oteyj (716), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Sep 18, 2009 Updated: Sep 20, 2009Hazy orange pour with nice white froth. Aroma is tart oranges, lemon, and woody hollow. Flavor is tart dry attenuated but delectable. Lots of citrus again with loads of spice. Palate is bubbly like champagne and dry in the finish. Quite good. ska (125), Italy Sep 16, 2009 33cl bottle, hazy and pale golden colour, small white head, spices, fruits and yeast aroma, grass flavor, metallic notes, medium body, finish with spices and hops Enjoyit (1697), Vadum, Denmark Sep 16, 2009 Hazy orange of color with a small white head. An aroma of spice, earthy, dusty notes. A flavor of spice, yeast, bitter, hops and a dry finish. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 12, 2009 On tap in a tulip. Pours hazy orange with a nice white head. The aroma does have nice esters but you have to sift through huge dusty dirty sock must to get to it. The flavor is quite sweet with some esters and bubblegum and a nice hop bite at the end that I enjoy through the exhale. Nice big body and good carbonation.
patrickfannon (274), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours golden/orange with a subtle white head. Aroma of wheat and barley, with a hint of hops. Medium body with a smooth finish. smcolw (314), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA Sep 5, 2009 Looking at my old review of this beer, I can only presume that the on-tap version is fresher and substantially better.
Thick, dense head that leaves great, chunky lace. Cloudy and orange-amber. The aroma is earthy, grainy and dry. The flavor is complex: smooth and light, some sourness but there is a solid hop kick at the swallow although the aftertaste has the sourness show up again. BlondeGrim (21), Netherlands Aug 31, 2009 330 ml; goldenblonde, citrus and hoppy aroma, bitter and citrus and dry after taste. jcr (1138), Jasper, Indiana, USA Aug 25, 2009 Bottle. Large, frothy, white head. Hazy gold body. Nice aroma of clove, pepper, pineapple, dusty basement, lemon, herbs, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderatey bitter. Dry with some alcohol presence. Medium to full body with a velvety texture and lively carbonation. Excellent, tasty tripel with complex, nicely balanced aroma and flavors with a lingering bitterness and just enough spiciness to keep it interesting. Very drinkable on top of all that.
