3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy golden body with a large, white, long-lived head. Good lacing. Very strong and goosebump inducing aroma of Belgian yeast, sweet light fruits including apples, spices and some banana in the back. Powerful flavour of Belgian yeast, light fruits, grape seeds and spices. Caramel, alcohol and banana in the back. Light to moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter and long-lasting finish. Mid-bodied, dry and with a moderate carbonation. Brilliant!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Helder donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig, bitter hoppig, lichtzoet, citrus, banaan, vanille en grasachtig. Erg goed bier, smaak blijft lang hangen.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is very fruity and spicy. Flavor-wise this beer is well balanced with spicy flavors of bubblegum and fruityness. Delicious finish. Dont notice the alcohol at all. Very nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Opaque deep golden with a frothy dark white medium lasting white head. Aromas of barnyard, cheese in a positive way, yeast, some earthyness and a splash of fruity esters. Softly carbonated with a slick texture and a full body. Some sweetness dominates yet some light acidity and floral bitterness arises. Lasting faintly dry finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours hazy and cloudy holden with nice one finger creamy white head. Aroma is very yeasty, candied sugar, sweet, phenolic, flowery, peach, pear and more yeast. Some heather honey. Taste is sweet and yeasty, but quite phenolic and spicy. Peat, grape, dry alcohol, flowery. Medium to full body, light bitter finish. A surprise, not a blonde in my world.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.33 l bottle from Drankenservice Francoise, bottled in February 2015. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, slowly collapsing, creamy, white head. Fruity-spicy aroma of peach, lemon zest, gooseberry, vanilla and white grapes. Sweetish, fruity-spicy taste of banana, lemon zest, gooseberry and vanilla, followed by a yeasty, earthy and slightly bitter finish dominated by banana. Medium body, effervescent and creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very delicious beer, no alcohol detectable but just slightly warming and very well-balanced. Not really overwhelming qua taste or aroma but so well-crafted and quaffable.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: clear pale gold with two fingers of fluffy pure white head, good retention and patchy lacing. (4/5) Aroma: Dupont yeast with saison notes, apple and pear, light citrus, faint herbal. (9/10) Taste: mild sweet, moderate bitter, very mild tart and funk. (8/10) Palate: light body, moderate to lively carbonation, dry crisp finish. (4/5)
Seems to bridge the gap between BSPA and saison, to good effect. A very well-behaved classically Belgian ale that is going down a treat after a hard day’s physical labour in the heat and humidity. It’s also worth pointing out what’s not present: the ABV is very restrained, making this near-double-digit ale quite sessionable. (17/20)
