michael-pollack (2606), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 16, 2007 Draught: Sweet aroma of yeast, apples, pears, coriander and spices. Champagne-like. Poured golden yellow in color with a huge, dense, foamy, white head that lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Hazy. Medium sweet flavor. Tasted of yeast, alcohol, pepper, and herbs. Light to medium body. Dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Sweet, dry, white pepper finish. asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA Oct 28, 2007 Bottle. Pours hazy golden with thick foamy head. Aroma is yeasty, with some bright hop notes. Sweetness in flavor nicely offset by pleasing dry herbal bitterness of hops throughout. Tasting very slight hints of vanilla and orange-y citrus fruit. Full, rich mouthfeel and quite carbonated. Some alcohol flavors in the finish. A mild, straightforward and satifying beer. Perfumy sharp bitter hoppiness. Slight gingeriness too. A little harsh in places. Didn’t really press our buttons, but nothing really wrong with it - wrong time of evening perhaps? Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Oct 16, 2007 Caged and corked. Poured bright yellow-orange with a nice billowy head that settled but clung to the side of the glass for dear life. My first impression of the aroma is "pencil eraser". Somewhere behind that rubbery thing is a little bit of fruit. Same thing happens on the palate. Now my mind has that dry pink rubber essence stuck to it. Free your mind and your tongue will follow. Still a bit chalky, wheaty, grassy, lightly herby and a very dry finish. Where’s my cheese plate? (#3144, 10/16/2007) faroeviking (6024), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Oct 16, 2007 Bottle. Pours a beautiful cloudy orange colour with a big creamy white well lasting head leaving a very good sticky lacing. Aroma of yeast and citrus with wheat, herbs, orange and alcohol. Good soft and creamish mouthfeel. The flavour has a good sweetness, yeast, wheat, fruits, citrus, herbs and hops. Dry fruity bitter finish. Very tasty brew indeed. oh6gdx (8802), Vasa, Finland Oct 15, 2007 Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, not muich head. Aroma is graqss, spices, earth and some floral hints. Flavour is very much the same. A quite boring brew, but does hide the 8.5% alcohol very well. KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Oct 9, 2007 Pours hazy yellow with an absence head. Sweet aroma that contains notes of wheat and flowers. Dominant alcohol in a quite hoppy blonde. Far from what expected but decent. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Oct 5, 2007 330 ml Moinette bottle. Rich golden color with frothy white head than turns a thin creamy cover. Nose is orange, citrus, spicy yeast. Taste is bright and citrus rich with orange being the dominant fruit. Creamy carbonation with nice drying hop finish and a lingering light spice.
