Bottle from Whole Foods. Medium golden in color. Large head that lasts. Tart grainy aromas. Some sourness. Dry spiced flavors. Some graininess. Finish is fairly bitter. Not bad.

(33cl bottle, thankfully received from bierkoning) Hazy, golden colour with a huge foamy white head. Dusty, moderately sweet malty, citrus-fruity aroma with a well-rounded peppery spicy and light herbal hoppy notes. Sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full body with a pleasant, crispy carbonation. Well-balanced malty, citrus-fruity and yeasty taste with coriander-spice; dry, slightly bitter finish with a warming alcoholic touch. Well-rounded, strong and spicy brew.

Bottle (330ml): Cloudy, golden coloured, lots of floaties visible; moderate orangey-fruity nose with traces of zests; robust sweet-bitter tart flavour, medium to full bodied; sweet, a bit adstringent and zesty finish. Very tasty, well balanced stuff...........

Bottle at Cafe Le Paix, Poperinge, West Flanders, Belgium. 27-07-07 Had this alongside the Saison Dupont it was not unlike it in many respects (obviously it’s a different style) but I felt that it offered similar characteristics although it was just a little bit better than its stablemate. Poured a glowing orange/golden in colour with small white tight head, had some lovely vanilla creaminess, yeast, and nutmeg coming through wonderful beer.

Has a distinct orange character in the aroma and flavor. Well integrated hops on the finish, with a nice mouth-feel.

Hazy yellow-gold with frothy, white head that lasts. Yeasty, spicy aroma, big green hops like wet cannabis with some alcohol notes. Light sweetness melts into hoppy bitterness, with faint lemon-citrus notes, and mildly bitter, lightly alcoholic finish.
