iep (229), Amsterdam, Netherlands May 19, 2007 Cloudy golden body, dense head, good lacing. Spicy, bready aroma with some vanilla and honey. Bready & grainy taste with sweet notes, not unlike a regular tripel, but some with nice spicy & tangy notes, DuPont-style. Interesting yeast profile. Very good complexity. Quite heavy on the carbonation. Nice. sunevdj (1765), Copenhagen OE, Denmark May 8, 2007 Brux 07. Pours a clear dark yellow with an average white diminishing head. Nice lacing. Lots of floaties. Medium sweet and sourness. Perfumy and slighhtly wheaty. Also slightly floral. Light alcohol touch. Dry finish. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA May 6, 2007 330ml bottle;nose of yeast, spiciness with some banana esters; golden with a medium yellowish head; flavor of spices (cloves and pepper), light fruit, and some bitter hops, which last to the finish. Nice tripel! bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA May 5, 2007 33 cl bottle. Aroma of citrus, yeast and spice. Hazy golden color with a white head that laces. Thick mouthfeel. Definite pepper following malt. Almost creamy. Pretty dry finish, and there’s enough hop to make it right. Very nice, balanced, if that’s a word to use with a Tripel. Yum. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada May 4, 2007 750ml 2yrs old. Pours cloudygolden with a thick rocky lasting white head. Dusty yeast aroma, fruity, black pepper. Can DuPont do no wrong? sloth (1658), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA May 2, 2007 Large white head, good retention and plenty of sticky lace hanging around. Gold colored, lightly hazy, faint orange glow. Nose is nice, flowery, honey suckleish, faint citrus, lightly bready malts. Body is lightly medium with a soft carbonation, somewhat tart on the palate, crisp. Medium sweet maltiness, toasty, fruity flavors, citrus, pear and maybe a bit melony? Spicey, clove, peppery. Finish is almost dry, fruity and nicely lasting. Bottled, enjoyed @ state line liquors last Belgian tasting, thanks Robert!! fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Apr 28, 2007 750ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a large long lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of citrus, black pepper, yeast spice, and floral hops. Taste is spicy and peppery with notes of citrus, sweet malt, and earthy hops. Kind of like a mix between a Tripel and a Saison. A very enjoyable brew. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Apr 28, 2007 after watching chelsea draw and Man Utd win going 5 points ahead, this beer was the celebration, and it fitted beautifully!!! Pours a light gold haze... low head ring with some lacing...very uplifting spritzy honey like smell...The style tastes like a trippel and saison mixed together...a nice bitterness level is there too..overall a beautifully made beer that i can see having again! light enough for any occasion but still has the guff to stand to the challenge...
