Bottle. Minerallic and perfumed aromanotes. Golden, a few yeast floaties, big off-white head. Peach and perfumed soap flavors. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Minerallic and fermented fruit aftertaste.

decants a hazy, amber-kissed gold, with a dense white head that retains well and leaves great lace. pungent aromatics combine grassy spiceness with honey-like malty sweetness, against some vaporous alcohol notes. beer starts a bit sweet but dries out very nicely, in a combination of solid hop flavor/bitterness, and alcohol warmth. nice all-around beer. holds its size well. lovely hop character, and nice balance.

Pours a lightly hazed deep golden color, quite effervescent with quadrillions of tiny bubbles rising and rising and rising. Huge frothy creamy white head of foam. Good thing I’m widely known for my patience (hah!), cuz this head is going to take forever to dissipate to the point where I can search for aroma and flavor. I‘ll be back… * cricket noises * Okay, the head has died down a little now. Initially a spicy/tart, almost sour nose, something like a funky saison. Behind that is a crisp and sweet malty aroma, more like a Belgian golden. The initial flavor is funky tartness, both herbal and acidic, with a little yeast. Behind that, or better yet - way behind that is an aromatic honey malt, light and unassuming, yet very tasty. The texture is fairly smooth, with lots of carbonation, and an almost lemon-pepper zing in the aftertaste. The huge head of foam emerges with every subsequent pour, leaving great lacing behind as it dies back, and as the glass slowly empties.

Hazy, orangish yellow color, with small particles and a medium white head. Aroma is sweet of bananas, chewing gum, honey and vanilla. Flavor is sweet, too, of anise liquor, banana with a soft, creamy texture and an alcoholic end.

Bottle. Cloudy golden in appearance -- handsome. A pleasant, fresh tripel with flavors of citrus and spice. Agreed with other reviewers that banana flavors were in the mix. Surely would be rated higher if I could get it on draft. As is, a nice tripel but didn’t find it better particularly than several other Belgian tripels.

Bottle at Sicosis: Pours a very hazy but lively yellow color. Head is big white and has good retention. It leaves a gorgeous film and lacing. Aroma is very spicy, malty/yeasty with a huge vanilla and banana presence. There are also hints of coriander, pepper, clove and a cereally, wheaty note. Like a gargantuan Hefe/Wit crossover. Flavor is strong, spicy too. Big sweetness with vanilla and banana aroma, in accordance with the aroma. Complex and very true to Tripel style. Excellently crafted. Medium body and carbonation. Alcohol is well concealed compared to others of the same style. Finish is sweet and spicy. A very good Tripel.
