Golden amber colored pour. Small off white head. Little lacing. Sugary nose. Sugary taste. Dry as well. Not the best beer out there, but if someone offered me one I’d see what else they had...

Bottle - pours pale orange with lots of floating yeast. Aroma is sweet malt, Apple, spice and a little citrus. Taste is sweet upfront with a rapid transition to a spicy alcohol finish. Palate is a bit thinner than expected.

Golden amber pour with generous frothy head and a lot of yeast floaties. Peppery phenolic aroma, with cloves, banana esters, candi sugar. The taste has a little bit in common with their iconic saison, in regard to the yeast character; but differs significantly in strength and inclusion of banana, candi sugar and clove flavours. Nice bitter and dry finish. Light bodied and very drinkable. Really good blond.

Hazy golden orange, modest head. A: fresh, intense, wheat aroma with citrus notes, banana, barnyard and saison funk. Hint of metal, some cheese. Nice. T: starts wheaty, with saison like taste, hints of corn bread. Develops a creamy, slightly fruity bitterness with faint marzipan note. Ends with a slightly boozy mouthfeel. Medium to full body. Aftertaste is dry, wheaty. Nice Blonde.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2015 Been drinking a lot of tripels and ’Belgian Strong Ales’ lately and I’d have to sit down over several evenings with a lot of bottles to really have a chance to differentiate between a lot of them. Moinette has the usual yeasty aroma, a good body, some sweetness and spiciness, decent complexity and smoothness and hides its ABV well. Additionally, it finishes well, dry and with little aftertaste. Quite a lot of sediment as I poured glass #2 into a standard Belgian ale glass... not a problem for me. This is certainly a fine entry into this category, and perhaps in the end my determining factor will simply come down to price and availability locally. Love these ales!
