Looking at my old review of this beer, I can only presume that the on-tap version is fresher and substantially better. Thick, dense head that leaves great, chunky lace. Cloudy and orange-amber. The aroma is earthy, grainy and dry. The flavor is complex: smooth and light, some sourness but there is a solid hop kick at the swallow although the aftertaste has the sourness show up again.

Bottle. Large, frothy, white head. Hazy gold body. Nice aroma of clove, pepper, pineapple, dusty basement, lemon, herbs, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderatey bitter. Dry with some alcohol presence. Medium to full body with a velvety texture and lively carbonation. Excellent, tasty tripel with complex, nicely balanced aroma and flavors with a lingering bitterness and just enough spiciness to keep it interesting. Very drinkable on top of all that.

Draft at IBG (Lutz, FL). A mixture of spices, wheat and yeast in the aroma. Slight sweetness in the initial flavor followed by a dry almost winelike aftertaste.

Draft @ Torre, De Haan. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty yeasty aroma with some spicy hints. Fruity malty spicy and slightly yeasty flavor. Has a yeasty malty spicy finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Another good Belgium beer. Golden colour with a big head. Spicy and malty aromas on front. Fruittiness appears at back. I will probably buy it again this week...

Bottle, 30 cl. Dark-golden colour, big white head, statying for a long while. Aroma: fruity, a bit pepper, full aroma. Lots of CO2 in the taste, with hops and bitterness. It seems to me like westmalle tripel. long finish, sparkling in the mouth. Nice.
