Had another 4-pack and each bottle had a large fluffy head and a great sharp fresh taste. 33cl bottle. Best before Mar 09. Subdued head for style. Orange-yellow liquid. Smells of pears, yeast and candy sugar. Very peppery. More high alcohol saison than tripel perhaps. Just not sure where they hide the alcohol. At cellar temperature a light sweetness and fruitiness (pears) is present.

Cloudy golden body with a large and long-lasting white head. Intense fruity and spicy nose. Also something about yeast or malt makes it a bit skunky/leather (although not unpleasant). Great spongy body which really fills the mouth. Very yeasty. Fruit peels and the type of spices I’d cook a chicken with (I’m probably the only person on earth who tastes onion salt in this beer). The lively carbonation is perfect and adds to long tickling finish. Almost as enjoyable as a minette blonde (french slang for something most heavy beer drinkers don’t get very often)

750 ml bottle. Golden in color with a ncie fluffy white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Citrusy sweet fruity aroma. Yeast and lots of coriander notes. Sweet and nicely carbonated flavor. Fruity finish. Clean tasting. Clean mouthfeel. Medium bodied.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours golden with a huge head that fade into a thin brim with excellent lacing. Aroma of citrus, fruit, belgian style spice, and yeast. The flavor is sweet, carbonated, spices are present, citrus, and fruit. This beer finishes clean. Good body, good brew.

Hazy golden coloured brew. Carbonated and grainy falvor and smell. Citrus and some other fruits. Sourness is not unpleasant, even a bit sweet. Nice.

Appears a dense haze of pale gold with streams of CO2 quickly rising to the top. A fluffy 2 finger off-white head that slowly fades out into a mild cap. Solid streaks of lacing are left around the glass. Smell is Earthy, herbal, with hints of citrus, vanilla, and sugary candy, along with doughy yeast. Taste is of the same aromas with some yeasty goodness coming through nicely. There’s also a nuttiness that comes together nicely. Mouthfeel is full bodied, sticky sweet from the yeast, and dry. This is enjoyable if you’re thirsting for an authentic Belgian brew done with the Dupont yeast. Very yummy stuff.

Quite an enjoyable brew. The presence of apples is apparent in both the aroma and the taste. Since it is a bottle conditioned beer, the golden color is hazy with both bubbles and sediment. This beer goes down smoothly and sets well with me. I recommend this beer to belgian ale lovers.

2004. Hazy gold. Large, off white, swiss cheese head. Nose is grainy, lightly sweet, barn funk, earthy hops, peppery yeast, a touch of sourness. Same flavors plus some subtle caramel. Finishes dry, yeasty, funky. Aftertaste leaves a light sweetness. Medium, balanced body. Great brew.
