HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Mar 1, 2006 Bottle (330ml). Poured hazy lemony-orange with a large lasting foamy white head. Like a very good Beligan wit (citrus, hops, ash) with plenty of complex sharp yeast, spicy malt and very drily juicy (if that makes sense). Incredible - all of the above, yet an overlay of light caramel malt and quite yeast and alcohol bitter - maybe a touch odd in its combinations and ultimately a little too boozy to be balanced, but nice. Has an alcoholic, astringent, syrupy mouthfeel alcoholic - this is a solid, appealing, tripel - I was really surprised. Long bitter spicy/citrus finish to it. bmxutos (161), Lisboa, Portugal Feb 26, 2006 Bottle, 33cl. Hazy orange/golden beer with a big and beautiful creamy white head, mostly lasting. Very lively. Lots of yeasty sediment. Nice aroma of yeast, herbs and fruits. Flavour is bitter and complex, with notes of spices and yeast. Dry palate. Once again, a beer by Dupont that fails to impress me. Of course it’s a good beer but i was expecting a little more. BigBastard (668), L.A., California, USA Feb 26, 2006 This was good, but not as good as the brune The ABV was more pronounced, and the flavors more overpowering. Good overall, but I liked the subtleties of the brune better. rederic (1787), montréal, Quebec, Canada Feb 23, 2006 Hazy yellow peachy gold hue, with a rocky foamy white head, nice nose of citrus fruits notes, like grapefruit, good yeasty and floral aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a zesty citrusy character, with some green apples and lemons fruitiness flavors, with a floral hops accent, and a leafy note, good carbonation, a nice complexity, with an alcoholic content well hidden, leading towards a floral hops bittering finish. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Feb 18, 2006 Pale yellow white in color w/ a malty nose. Pours a big thick head that really hangs in there, formed by little champagne like bubbles. Came back 15 minutes later ( to let it warm a bit) and the froth was still sitting there. Like a cloud in the stale Arizona sky. A delicately sour brew w/ a floral palate when cold. Flavors change to salted ruby red grapefruit when warmed and ends with a slightly bitter peach pit tropshire that lingers. Normally I am turned off by the grapefruit flavors but this is actually quite enjoyable. It’s a great thirst qwencher but kinda expensive at 4$ for 11oz. Overall it’s well ballanced and the alcohol is well hidden. Highly recommended. brew4all (102), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Feb 16, 2006 Nice golden yellow pour with a thick white head. Smelled rich with citris, fruit, light spices..well balanced. The taste was solid with definite sweet malt and pears to it. Could also taste some caramel towards the finish which was dry and lasting. Found it a bit over carbontaed at first but after about ten minutes it drank very well and is a very good brew. Dorqui (1353), Brescia, Italy Feb 11, 2006 Updated: Sep 16, 2007Bottled 0,33L. Creamy and compact foam, good persistence. Orange clearly color, not excessive hazy and with a medium fizz. Extremely complex and rich aroma; notes of spices, caramel, much flowery with rumors of wine cellar and clear mildews. Lightly prickly taste, decided and powerful. In mouth it is much dense and solid one with pleasant aromas of clear grape and aromatic herbs. Demoded. Sweet and alcoholic end of great duration. glkaiser (1150), Seattle, Washington, USA Feb 4, 2006 $5.50 on tap at Elysian Tangletown; Very cloudy with a thick white head. I definitely enjoyed this...Very yeasty taste with plenty of sweetness.
