Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Oct 28, 2005 Excellent pour, a hazy gold with a large, rocky, and well sustained head. The aroma has a citric tartness, yeasty with a light bready malt. The flavor is slightly sour with light fruits (not citrus) and a light alcohol burn. That burn re-arises in the blood after the tart and somewhat bitter finish. Not great, but quite enjoyable.

YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany Oct 24, 2005 Hazy orange color with some floating sediments. Small layer of a head leaving some little traces on the glass. Medium intense dough and vanilla nose. Melon, yeast and vanilla taste with a nice fruity finish. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 8, 2005 Hazy blonde, large white puffy head, lots of lacing. Nose of citrus and yeast, very malty and creamy. The flavor is citric and fruity, very clean, light alcohol and moderate malts. OK, maybe a bit fruity. The finish is lightly sweet. Yummy dupont characteristics. JonMoore (1561), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Sep 30, 2005 Bottle. Hazy orange with a large white head. Spicey coriander and orange peel aroma. Taste is spicey, malty and fruity with a big, but pleasant alcohol and then hoppy finish. Full bodied. Good tripel. slabonator (29), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 22, 2005 11.2 ounce bottle from Wholefoods. Pours a hazy orange with a full white head. Floral, herbal aroma with hops and fruit. Flavor is full with spicy hop and fruit and crisp carbonation. Sweet at the end with a lingering dry, hop finish. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Sep 19, 2005 In the bottle at the Dundee Dell. Pours a cloudy golden with slight orange-amber tones and a thick white head. Beautiful looking beer. Strong fruit/floral/medicine aroma. Outstanding lacing engulfs the side of the glass. Wonderful flavor of alcohol and malt. Fermented fruits appear. Tingly to the tip of the tongue (pepper?). A great example of Belgian Tripel. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Sep 5, 2005 A Mes rate:
Tap @ PBF. Very decent blonde. I am not usually much of a blonde fan so those of you who generally do like them would probably rate this a little higher. Does everything a blond should. Good head, lots of lace for this type of beer. Creamy, spicy, I will agree with Hopgeeks banana observation too. Nice spicy finish. Smooth and downable. Very nice. Hopgeek (101), San Diego, California, USA Aug 31, 2005 Pours a thick yellowed peach hue and makes a dense white head with lots of lacing. Aroma is a musty banana with a subtle hint of cloves. Flavor opens with some bittering and a peppery spice, yeasty banana character dominates the middle and there is a bit of buttery toffee, finishes with a strong peppery bite. Lots of carbonation on the palate with a medium to fully body and a slightly sticky finish. This is a nice offering, it seems to deviate a bit from what I am used to in a Belgian strong pale with the extreme peppery spice, but I like it. I would try again, but sadly I have but this 1 bottle.
