5/29/2008: Moinette Belgian Ale has a dry, grassy, and herbal hoppiness in the aroma. It pours a hazy golden orange color. Its puffy off-white head deposits fine lacing details on the glass. This beer tastes sweet up front. The sweetness is followed by fruit, bits of spice, and some citrus/orange. There is also a slight hop bit along with some tartness. The finish has a spicy and herbal noble-like hoppiness. This beer is moderately full-bodied and feels smooth going down. I enjoyed the hoppiness of this beer.

redlight (1445), Winter Park, Florida, USA Jul 26, 2009 darft. Slightly musty and spicy nose, grassy hops and sweet sugary malts. Pour cloudy golden blonde with a dense white head. Spicy slightly funky flavors, sweet malts, wither very spicy yeast flavors, white pepper, herbal and slightly minty, hints of light citrus flavors like starfruit and kumquats, very nice! really its a heafty saison in my book, great beer! notalush (2628), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 17, 2009 Yet another beer to add to the "I can’t believe I haven’t tried this yet" file - anyway, as expected, this is the kind of quality product I’ve come to expect from Dupont - sure, it’s got that house flavor of theirs, but that house flavor is so damn good - pours a hazy blond - herbal and floral aroma similar to their saison, but with a lot more honey sweetness behind it, and a kind of orange marmalade character, some notes of vanilla frosting (I know, weird, but good) - full but soft carbonation - the flavor is quite zesty and herbal, and much drier than many people like their tripels (but I love it!) - there is some melon, citrus, and honey sweetness, but it is quite subdued, and takes a back seat to the spicy, floral hops and drier, biscuity malts - some rustic, earthy character - quite a delicious beer. Madsnp (610), Odense C, Denmark Jul 17, 2009 Bottle. Pours golden yellow coloured with a nice egg white head. Aromas of malt, orange fruit, yeast and hops. The alcohol is very well hidden. Flavours of sweet malt, spicy hops, oranges, cereal and yeast. Fresh n’ fruity high alcohol session beer. SuIIy (1406), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Jul 15, 2009 draft at public house. Pours a bright orangish color with a full white head. nose is lightly cheesy with a nice yeast note. Palate is very carbonated. Flavors are apricot, light cheese, some hidden peaches and just an overall cheesy fruityness. MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 13, 2009 This poured me an active, frothy as opposed to foamy (bigger bubbles), four-fingers deep white head on top of a cloudy orange/gold body. The aroma was an interesting melange of fruits, hops, and spices with no one element taking the lead. Flavour was reflective of the nose, and while the mouthfeel was "solid", it was somewehat sweeter than I’d like. Finished well.
