Hops predomiant the initial palate with good grass and pepper notes. Some candy sugar flavors are evident with a good amlt body. Pears and a touch of green apple come in toward the end with a good bitter finish. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium

Outstanding hazy, warm-yellow beer with good livelyness and with a very nice creamy off white head. Great refresshing aroma’s of dry malts, some citrus-peel, yeast and i think cascade hops. Nose is rich, very well balanced and ends with this fine herbal hoppy nose. Taste is smooth and light at the same time. The refresshing round taste and the suptile bitterness are in perfect harmony. the alcohol is so well integrated in this pure and traditional brew. Brodie (540), Blowing Rock, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 9, 2005 Sweet, fruity aroma, pale malt, plums, hay, bubblegum. Slightly hazy golden color. Flavor matches the aroma plus an herbal hop character and some yeasty funk, finishes dry and actually slightly bitter. Medium light body, lively. Its tough to categorize these Belgians - this is somewhere between a tripel and a saison, though. Crisp, dry and refreshing yet complex and interesting. CaptainCougar (5405), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma has a very nice farmhouse character with some sweet Belgian malt and candi sugar with lots of bready yeastiness. Starts semi-sweet and yeasty showing mild peppery spice toward a dry earthy finish. Could maybe use a touch more sweetness in the body, but still well-balanced and very drinkable with good barnyard yeasty presence. johndoughty (2156), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

It poured with a massive head and a very bitter taste.Very powerful mouthfeel and the bitterness lingered for some time. Overall not very impressive. beerguy101 (3862), Newark, California, USA
