Nose is yeasty, lemony, bready, herbal, farmy and hints of peppery spices. Medium bodied, lush feel, grainy malts, alcohol is evident, somewhat acidic/tart, peppery and yeasty. Wish the sweetness of the malts were a little more developed, would have balanced this badboy out. Good brew but the fact its a triple throws me, more a saison? | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 31, 2004 A hazy honey color with medium off-white head. Oatmeal & lemon peel, cardomon, yeast, cotton candy. An odd (but tasty) combination of malty sweetness and herbal bitterness with a touch of sour thrown in the middle and a peppercorn follow. Alcohol in the aftertaste. Very nice. The BA Speedway Stout didn’t make it for the New Years/ my #500 but this isn’t a bad choice to mark the occasion with! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2004 Bottled. A slightly hazy golden coloured beer with a nice long lasting white head. The aroma is big of peppery spices, wheat and yeasty alcohol. The taste also has tons of spices, again a real peppery feel shines through. There are also lemon notes. The beer is somewhat thin for its ABV. PorterPounder (3136), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Somewhat of a sour taste with coriander notes and a zesty lemony back end to even it out. Some slight doughy notes as well. Mouthfeel is slightly spritzy. Overall decent.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2004 A nice orange-amber tinge to this Blonde bombshell. Laced the glass nicely after the big initial cap blew off leaving just a thin head of hair. A little malty and perhaps some spice too. Alcohol and hops evident, with bready citric tones too. Medium-full mouthfeel and a nice effervescence. Enjoyed but not loved this one. tiggmtl (4310), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
