mansquito (819), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Jun 9, 2009 Pours a really cloudy golden yellow, with pieces of dark sediment floating all around it. White looking head is not really thick, but this wasn’t poured into the proper looking glass. Yeast, spice, banana, and other fruits in the aroma. As for the taste, I will start from the back. The aftertaste is the most memorable part of the beer. It is strong and sticks around for a while. Apart from that there are Belgian hops, fruity flavors, and very little notes of alcohol. I didn’t have a full bottle just a sample from one of my friends so I didn’t get the full experience of this beer. MrGGen (221), Italy Jun 3, 2009 Colore arancio chiaro.Schiuma cremosa e compatta, buona persistenza. Estremamente complesso e ricco l’aroma, note di spezie, di caramello, molto floreale con sentori di cantina. Gusto pungente, deciso e potente. In bocca è molto densa con piacevoli aromi di uva chiara e erbe aromatiche.Finale alcoolico e lungo. Molto buona. Cirrhosis (610), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 3, 2009 The beer pours a very cloudy tan color almost looks like a bruised banana before it turns black, a thin blanket of thick white head covers the brew, this beer looks yummy. Tons of yeast & banana in the smell, along with a lemony sweetness, and some cloves in the finish, this brew smells awesome. The taste is a very malty lemon, with tons of yeast, very smooth despite the high alcohol has a smooth spicy finish, this beer is very perfectly balanced with no one flavor over powering another. There is a flavor in the finish I couldn’t quite make out until I was almost done, but I believe it to be hops, and it’s a very nice hop flavor. Very enjoyable beer I’m going to have to add this to the regular rotation. mbuisman79 (134), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jun 1, 2009 Nice big foam head with a banana smell that is strong with a nice bitter hint. Taste is the same, very hoppy but fresh as well Theis (3617), Denmark May 25, 2009 Bottle at NB-Symposium. Cloudy yellow - white head. Spicy, peppery, banana notes, fruity, sweetness, alcoholic, yeast-esters, bitterness, sharpness, nice sourness. OK. GranvilleTim (466), Granville, Illinois, USA May 23, 2009 Cloudy yellow pour with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, hops, florals, like a good Belgian does. Taste is of yeast, orange peel, alcohol, and a little sweetness. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. BVery (446), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA May 17, 2009 TAP: cloudy gold pour, Belgian spice nose, taste was floral & bready, with some sour/bitter in there as well. Pretty good, but not one of my favorite Belgians. BeerEssential (96), Massachusetts, USA May 6, 2009 Gorgeous cloudy gold with a massive fluffy head. Slight grassy and funky fresh aroma. Taste is a bit tart, peppery, carbonated with a touch of bitterness. Refreshing, but hard hitting! Good stuff.
