3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Decent beer with some truly unusual tastes in both the fore abd after. I shared this with a friend that mostly drinks macros and he liked it a great deal more than I did. There is something sharp and dry in the taste that you don’t get out of most Belgians. Very different.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle 25 cl) Originally just known as "Moinette II". Orangey golden beer with a huge head. Lots of yesty sediment. Strong and potent in both body and alcohol with a dry hoppiness. We’re talking Orval-territory although far from the same complexity. 270695

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours very hazy gold with an enormous creamy ivory head, even from a gentle pour. Head is thick and lacy as hell. Smell is yeasty and very fruity. Muscat grapes and hints of chardonnay. Very winey nose. Light spiciness, cloves and/or cinnamon.
Damn this beer has a bite to it! Dry and bittersweet fruitiness. Alcohol flavors. A strident bitterness but not form hops as far as I can tell. Can’t put my finger on that taste but it dominates the palate. Almost like Campari? Juniper berries? Spicy clove in there. taste is nothing like the smell. Amazing complexity. Bitter and smooth. Sweet in the nose and dry on the tongue. really excellent. Could have stood to be aged and I really wasn’t expecting that from this brew. Lingering dry btterness stays around forever.Been wanting to try this for awhile and it has definitely peaked my interest to go back for more.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
(on tap) Mild pear-nose, kind of floating up the nose, cosy. Very soft mouthfeel; still fruity, the foamfeeling is really big, like whiped cream. Mellows out sweetly.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle-Well, im entering this beer as the Blonde even though the bottle just said "moinette" and smelled like a banyard. pours a hazy orange hue with tons of carbonation and a huge fluffy head. aroma of banyard, horseblanket bigtime with subtle honey and cirtic tones and alot of spices (corriander, ginger). lots of brett in this beer as well to give it that funk. Lots of disty esters begin the flavors followed by nice subtle spice nots of corriander and honey. This is a pretty complex beer that i would definately try again knowning exactly what it is the next time.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bitter nad spicy tripel that is much more to my liking than sweeter example of the style. Hops predomiant the initial palate with good grass and pepper notes. Some candy sugar flavors are evident with a good amlt body. Pears and a touch of green apple come in toward the end with a good bitter finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 15, 2005 At ’t Brugs Beertje, 75 cl bottle. Outstanding hazy, warm-yellow beer with good livelyness and with a very nice creamy off white head. Great refresshing aroma’s of dry malts, some citrus-peel, yeast and i think cascade hops. Nose is rich, very well balanced and ends with this fine herbal hoppy nose. Taste is smooth and light at the same time. The refresshing round taste and the suptile bitterness are in perfect harmony. the alcohol is so well integrated in this pure and traditional brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sweet, fruity aroma, pale malt, plums, hay, bubblegum. Slightly hazy golden color. Flavor matches the aroma plus an herbal hop character and some yeasty funk, finishes dry and actually slightly bitter. Medium light body, lively. Its tough to categorize these Belgians - this is somewhere between a tripel and a saison, though. Crisp, dry and refreshing yet complex and interesting.
