BMan1113VR (2757), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Apr 8, 2009 2007 Bottle. Pours with a huge, creamy, white head over a slightly hazed golden body. Good lace. Aroma of alcohol, candi sugar, orange peel, florals and a vanilla note. Taste is bready with alcohol and orange peel. Light bubbles with a strong alcohol presence. angrypirate06 (678), Texas, USA Apr 8, 2009 Bottle. Large head over a golden body. Heavily skunked bottle, but other than that aroma of citrus, wheat, cherries. Taste was citrus, wheat, alcohol and yeast. evergreen0199 (259), London, Greater London, England Mar 28, 2009 Bottle. Golden ale with puffy white head. Peach notes, citrus. Lovely spiced ale. I could drink this all evening, a wonderful Belgian beer. bookman10 (84), Osseo, Minnesota, USA Mar 22, 2009 Cloudy, bright yellow-golden color with little to no head. Nice sour flavors with hints of citrus and spice. A bit thin in the palate, with a bitter aftertaste. This is a very interesting ale and definitely worth a try. donfardz64 (406), Wellington, New Zealand Mar 10, 2009 750mL bottle from Regional. Pours cloudy deep golden, big frothy white head, very pretty.
Potent coriander & citrus aromas, mingling with a smooth caramel malt base with a hint of spice. Very nice aroma.
Flavour is also full of strong herbaceous coriander, a crisp hop bitterness, the malt shows through slightly with some caramel, alcohol pops up at the end.
Finish is astringent and bitter, herbs last for a while.
Very nice Tripel. Strong sweet malt and lemon aroma. Light lemonaid kind of flavor turns to a fairly assertive bitterness and sharp alcohol burn in the finish. nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Feb 4, 2009 A very solid tripel. Saison-like. Golden color with a white head. Yeasty aroma with light fruits and a small amount of funk. Flavor is yeast city with great fruit notes, mainly citrus and banana. Smooth medium palate and a dry finish.
