502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jan 25, 2009 Tap at Blue Palms. Gonna have to agree with ironchefscott below me. This thing was a saison: yellow pour (same color as label) with very spicy citrusy and yeasty notes in the aroma and flavor. Lots of fruity esters. Medium to light dry finish with a medium to light body and medium to high carbonation. Not my favorite style, but undeniably good. ironchefscott (341), portland, Oregon, USA Jan 24, 2009 damn good and complex yeasty and fruity and spicy I don’t think I would have guessed that this was a triple...I would have thought a strong saison..but what do I know? ruggedman (613), Portland, Maine, USA Jan 24, 2009 On tap at Novare Res in Portland. Not too complex, and not too far off from many other light Belgians i’ve had. Light yellow color, sweet aroma. Flavor is spicy, funky, and yeasty. dj (418), Gloucestershire, England Jan 23, 2009 Bottle, 330ml. A cloudy golden colour with a small head. Aroma of peach, bready malt, clove and yeast. Taste has caramel, clove, peach, plum, lots of malt and a touch of yeast. Really tasty. MBison (548), Southern Highlands, Australia Jan 20, 2009 Bottle (330ml). Poured hazy golden orange with a small, sticky, off-white head which was average lasting. Aroma was of ripe banana’s with cloves, orange zest, cinnamon bread, coriander and some white pepper. Flavor was of sweet bready malts with tangy orange citrus, lemon zest, dry pears, juicy pineapple, hints of banana, light notes of cloves and a spicy finish of coriander. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry/spicy mouthfeel and a great finish. Very good balance of flavors with well a hidden alcohol content. Travlr (698), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jan 10, 2009 Straw colored and hazy. Nose of yeast and citrus. Full bodied. Flavor of malt, hay, and citrus. Very subtle and very very drinkable. thebeertourist (2750), Oslo, Norway Jan 4, 2009 From bottle at De Pikardijn, St-Lievens-Houtem. Hazy, deep golden with a steady off-white head. Yeasty and hoppy nose followed by some sweet maltiness. Overall quite bitter. There is no hiding craftmanship.
